But he has paid off big time for Detroit. He's got 7 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in 11 minutes tonight while shooting 3/4 from the field. This isn't a freak game either, if he was getting more PT I am sure people around the league would be speaking about this guy more, I'm happy with mkg, but think Drummond needed some recognition.

It's simply too early to tell. Anybody remember when both Adam Morrison AND Walter Herrmann were Eastern Conference rookies of the month in the same season??

MKG was a way safer pick than Drummond. MKG appeared to have a good head on his shoulders and was obviously a true competitor from the get go. Drummond was, well, perhaps....the complete opposite of that.

Let's give them a few years.
