MKG looks like he could easily be an 18ppg scorer with no jumpshot at all

and almost everyone learns a jumpshot eventually, except Josh Smith

even Gerald Wallace who was ridiculously more raw than MKG became a solid shooting threat and he doesnt even work that hard in the offseason iirc

Lillard I feel is a lot like Nick Young.
Pure scorers, atrocious on D and thus they look good and flashy, one in which this league falls in love with because he can put up big numbers.

MKG is one of those guys who I feel might never be a superstar, but he'll still become damn good.
He fits the typical Bobcats system also, blue collared scrappers who every night come in for a big fight, ready to do the little things to win, tough on defense.
Honestly, I think of MKG in four to five years and Pippen just comes up. I don't really care that everyone has already made the assumption of Pippen, but honestly I can see MKG becoming even a rich man's Iggy.
His speed, poise, Basketball IQ, defense, and his willingness to do anything and everything to help the Bobcats wins means he's already a total package. Offense can be taught, that kid's heart can't.
Also helps that the kid is only 19, he is the foundation of the new core of Bobcats. He will epitomise everything about this team.

He's also one of the worst defensive players in the entire league. Far from complete.

MKG is a better rebounder and defender. Those types are not a hot commodity imo.
You can't be serious. Does "defense wins championships" ring a bell?

MKG is a very nice prospect but as I mentioned he needs to improve some stuff to get to the nxt level.

We had / have Kemba so drafting Lillard would not have been smart.

We made a solid choice with MKG considering what was available.
MKG is showing himself to be the most complete player in the draft not named Anthony Davis. Not bad considering he's almost three years younger than Lillard

Careful, it sounds like your comparing Nick Young to Damian Lillard here TC... Also, I have loads of heart and a British accent, does that mean I can make it to the NBA?

Lillard is worse than Kyrie on D. That's saying a lot.

Only needing to improve one aspect which is primarily about positioning and desire/hustle makes one FAR from complete?

You need more than defense. At the end of the day you gotta "out score" your opponent.

MKG is a nice prospect but has a ways to go. Lillard is the better and more complete player right now.

Defense is more like one HALF of his game. Shooting is one aspect. That would make MKG more complete.

    Is that you, D'Antoni?

Is he better now? Sure. He's much older. Is he more complete? Hardly.

The only thing Lillard needs to improve is his defense.

MKG needs to improve his shooting, ball handling, offensive prowess / scoring, staying out of foul trouble. MKG is more complete how?

Common sense. The game is to out score your opponent, not out defend them.

Lillard is the better player now and will be 3 years from now. Ill bookmark this thread for you.
