Because of his contract he is hard to trade, the size of his salary makes him hard to change in both logical terms due to its size and commitment as its for another year and 2/3
After tonights game do you see why any playoff team would not want him on there team for scoring? I have said it before that Minny would be foolish not to take him with the absence of B Roy

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.
I think Ben Gordon is actually terrible and the guy plays 1 on 9 ball to go along with consistently terrible defense and ball handling. There was once a time when he could've been a great asset to a playoff team but I don't even think he could be that at this point in his career.

To digest why Gordon is or is not playing, you need to realize it has very little to do with what he actually does on the court. Gordon is either Good Ben (when he can't miss and is in his zone) or he is Bad Ben (when he thinks he can't miss despite missing shot after shot).
Realistically, Gordon is only here for one reason:
1) We got a #1 draft pick for agreeing to pay a bad contract for 1 year longer than the bad contract we traded away.
His minutes fluctuate from game to game, but that is more a function of the mandate that this season is about player development, which means if the younger players are playing well, they get more minutes. From time to time, the younger players will be struggling and Gordon will get more minutes because we are seeing more "Good Ben" than "Bad Ben" for that evening. Unfortunately there are nights when the younger players are struggling and we are getting more "Bad Ben" than "Good Ben".
The likelihood of moving Ben as the focal point of a trade is very unlikely this season because of the 2nd year of his contract that he will undoubtedly exercise. Our biggest hope is a top tier playoff team loses their shooting guard for the season due to injury and they are willing to play chess with Cho (make no mistake about it, we would 'win' the trade if Cho smells blood).
@ 'BlockParty', I understand that is why Ben Gordon is here, and that understanding also helps me to understand that we are ultimately tanking, which causes me to vent some frustrations because I don't like losing, even from a fan's point of view. It's not easy cheering for this team year in and year out when your friends & co-workers take the easy route to bandwagon teams such as the Heat & Lakers, and they try to pick on you about not winning, and you try to explain to them that we're not exactly trying to win because blah blah blah, and they don't understand so all they do is hysterical laugh and constantly joke on you for being a fan of the Bobcats. With that said, I hope this is the last year of tanking.
The playoff team that lost there starting shooting guard is Minny. I know Love is hurt now but can you imagine Ben's scoring along with Love's rebounding and scoring. They would be a legit top 5 or 6 in the west.
