That made my night when he dribbled it a few times from the back court.

When we drafted him the message was "he's going to need a few years"

Now everybody hates him after just over 1.

    Love it!

I know he's starting for us and is a needed body but why havent we sent him to the d league and let him work on his offense/defense, build his confidence and see what he does.

We better be drafting Anthony Bennett this draft

I don't want to put Biyombo in the D-League but I don't want to see him starting either. We should be playing him limited minutes. The only time he should be seeing extended minutes is if Haywood is looking like he's completely out of it that night.

It would seem that this is exactly what this season is for. The team will not contend for a playoff spot, so you're really not hurting anything by sticking a painfully inexperienced guy out there. And the experience will be invaluable, so you have to get it in now. Because if they were to draft a player next year that suddenly makes them a fringe playoff contender, you certainly don't want to have waisted most of this year's PF minutes on Tyus Thomas.
I think the odds of Biyombo becoming a real difference maker are less than 50% despite his freakish athleticism. But he could become a valuable role player on the defensive end. At least if they play him heavily this year and next, they'll know they gave it every chance to succeed.
The worst thing this team could do this season is sit a player like Biyombo, so that they can pick up three or four extra wins which will accomplish nothing but diminishing their draft value.

I think people have forgotten how Long-Term projects work.

You play him as much as possible, you have NOTHING to lose

He's SUPPOSED TO SUCK right now. That's how 20 year old big man projects are.

I should clarify that I was against the pick from the jump, so this isn't me giving up on the long-term aspect of him. I just felt like we could have got somebody better at #7, or at least somebody who is coordinated on the floor and can catch passes.
