So I say all of that to say, you have to have more than good coaching to be what Ben Wallace was. The guy had a motor inside him that never stopped. I don't see that with Biz. I understand the part about not being great before Detroit, but Ben wasn't playing for the worst team in the league. He was playing behind Juwan Howard, Chris Webber and Rasheed Wallace. Orlando was on the verge of a playoff berth when he was playing for them and he was a contributor. There is a possiblity that Biz could become Ben someday, but it is very tiny.
biz is a workout warrior too....every player says hes the first to get in the gym and the last to leave...remember kemba asked him "biz do you live here" lol....i really believe in bismack and feel he can reach his potential possibly a 10/12/3 type of guy

Okay. I think the larger point is here is being severely overlooked.

It doesn't matter if Biyombo can become an all time great NBA defender or get as many accolades as Ben Wallace. My point was not to say that BB will have "career x" by mentioning Ben Wallace.

What I was trying to say is that I think BB has the very real potential of being a very high impact player predicated on defense, somewhat in the model of Ben Wallace. If you want to call it a poor man's Ben Wallace or whatever you want, I couldn't care less. He's showing a lot of defensive skills and good rebounding, and I don't think it's far fetched to say that he could be become one of the better defensive big men in the league. He could become the type of guy that is very disruptive on the defensive side of things and keeps teams honest inside on the offensive end.

Could he be out of the league in a couple of years and never do anything? Of course, but I think the trend is pointing to him having a good career as long as he stays healthy and continues to develop.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

I can't believe anyone is arguing the point you made at all. People act like you said Biz was Ben Wallace right now. No.

You know what Ben was doing at 19 after playing basketball literally since the day he was walking? He was at Division 2!!! Virginia Union averaging 12 Points 10 Rebounds and 3 blocks against division 1 rejects and guys playing for an education.

You know what Biz was doing at 19 after playing basketball for literally 5 years of his life? He was in the NBA averaging 5 Points 6 Rebounds an 1.8 blocks against the BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD.

DNB was never saying that Biz was Ben. Only that his trajectory is already light years beyond Bens. And thats a fact.

(also, no way Biz will be out of the league in a couple years. He is already as effective as 11 year vet Diop... Biz will be in the league for a while)

I think he's going to have a real coming out party at some point this year where he'll go for 20-12. You heard it here first, I like Bizz

I don't expect a lot to come out of his post game, ever. But I do think he'll get to a point where he's consistently being a 2nd chance/hustle point getter, sort of like a Tyson Chandler. Not comparing their games tho.

12-10-2. Didn't miss a shot all night, perfect from the field and free throw stripe.

    Hell yeah, Bizz.

I am pleased with the progress he has made from year 1 to year 2. But I am expecting a much bigger jump in year 3. That will be the year that shows us if the draft pick was worth it. And I honestly believe he is going to be a major part of this team for a long time. I think we see a marked improvment with scoring next year.
