Am i just hopeing the team is better than all that,,, or are we the laughing stock of the NBA.. AND IM TO STUPID TO REALIZE IT

1st off MJ DIDN'T DRAFT BIZ. CHO DID!!!!! i really wish "professional" sports talkers would at least do a cursory amount of research to know what the eff is actually happening.

2nd even playing the way he is now, he isn't a bust. he is improving and shows signs of continual improvement.

does he need to really work on defensive rotations and awareness, hell yes.
does he need to work on his offensive game, hell yes.
does he need to stop goaltending, hell yes.
is he a bust, hell no.

of all the players drafted behind him only kawhi leonard and kenneth faried would be clear better picks at #7. klay thompson, imam shumpert and d. montiejunas could be argued but not at #7 where he was drafted.

Default Bismack and his subtle improvement

No dav, it's casual fan syndrome. They look at the standings - "oh, the bobcats are terrible, I wonder why..."

Then they check out a game, see Biyombo struggling and say - "this Bismarck Butombo guy is horrible, he can't shoot with the right hand"

Then they blame Jordan for everything.

There's two kinds of bandwagon fans, those that jump on he trendy, winning team, and those that like to blast bad teams just because it makes them feel cool and superior.

But until they make the playoffs, we'll continue to hear nonsense, no matter what progress is being made.

Yep. And of those players you listed, I still think Biz has the potential to better than all of them. I really do think we had the best draft possible that year. Cho nailed it.

Saw an old work acquaintance today that I haven't seen for years in Raleigh...huge college BB fan like most are around here and pulls primarily for Duke. Hates Jordan and hates Carolina. He knew I was a big Bobcats' fan from way back and quickly told me that even tho he still hated the NBA he watches every 'Cats game on TWC. Guess who his favorite player was...Biz.

Shocked the hell out of me.

Doesn't mean shit except that we can use every fan...but he is exactly the type that I would have expected to bash Biz and the team just like those we're talking about. Except he's actually been watching them and he sees what a lot of us see. HUGE potential that is slowly coming around.

I'm nitpicking and disagreeing with you here. Biz is usually really good with his rotations and he wouldn't get half of his blocks if his awareness was poor. If anything, Biz rotates too well often and gets punished b/c his frontcourt mates won't rotate in kind to his defender. Other than that, well said.

How about Biz hitting those clutch freethrows tonight? Ah yeah.

his rotations are off because he gets out of position too often and is late on rotations from the inside out. he needs better discipline to not "wander".

He has to protect the rim and stop the ball. If he doesn't leave his position to do this it would be a runway to the hoop for opposing guards.

As of now he's a bust. Doesn't really matter to me, b/c we're still getting a top 3 pick for the next 2 (maybe 3) years. I want us to trade him honestly but if we don't I can understand. He's a good defensive player, but there are a bunch of defensive players in the league. It's not like he's heavily valued and we all know it. Also TERRIBLE offensively one of the worst finisher's i've ever seen..Shoots 43% from the field, as a big man thats horrendous I would like to see him play 30 mpg thought. He needs to get all the experience he can get, good grief.

It looks like we blew that pick. Hope he gets it turned around to be atleast a great defensive rebounding big like we expected. I could care less about the offense right now so long as we find a C or other big for scoring.
