I actually think that all three are or could be very good players, I don't mean to sound like I'm down on them. It's just that some comparisons to generational greats get thrown around a bit freely. I've said it before, all this team really needs is one great wing scorer an one more offensively competent big and they could be very good.

Im no basketball knowledge person but i've seen much better play sence the all star break . Its as if a light has gone off in his head and hes starting to get it .. In my mind hes by passed Haywood and just starting to scratch the surface. My prediction is next year he will be considered to be solid not great . After that im expecting a carer 10 and 10 at worst .
Thanks Ammofan!

I believe BB is much closer to Wallace than those other comparisons. In this case, I think it's very legit. I could easily see him being a routine DPofY. BB is already one of the better shot blockers per minute in the league. He's quickly becoming a quality rebounder. The main reason why I brought the point up is that Wallace was a nobody before his significant rise in Detroit, suggesting that BB could also achieve such greatness with quality coaching. People are ready to cast him off when the guy has very little basketball experience compared to most pros.
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
Biyombo's nowhere near Wallace. Ben shares the record for defensive player of the year awards, and Biyombo would be spending most of the year in the D-league if he was on a team with a solid frontcourt. Like I said towards the beginning of this thread, in four years Biz might be anchoring the defense for a legitimate contender or he might be playing in the Spanish league. He's a long-term project, he was always a long-term project, and the team doesn't have any better options right now. Just let the guy play and get some experience and don't get so hung up on the game-to-game box scores. Maybe he'll pan out, maybe he won't, but he has shown some encouraging development lately.
What part of his statement are you not getting? Did you know who Ben Wallace was when he was 19? No you did not. You didn't know him until his second year with the Pistons, and he sure didn't have 2 dpoys at 20 either. Its a perfectly legit comparison although i tend to think it puts an unnecessary ceiling on Biz.
