Tyrus Thomas appreciation thread

Thomas and Gordon would actually be nice to have on the team if it weren't for their contracts.

Their handshake is worth it.

Under Greg Popovich, he would be given a smaller but more specific role (one that none of his past teams have been able to clearly define) and his value would skyrocket. We need him as a 4, but I'm interested in what role he would have on a Popovich team.

I can tell you; he won't be a 3-point specialist.

I totally agree with you, sometimes when I watch Bobcats games I feel as if Dunlap's coaching a bunch of 8 year olds.
As if Dunlap is giving them the "have fun out there" speech. I know he doesn't say that, but it sure feels that way.
The last couple of games I keep seeing Tyrus setting (halfhearted) screens who end up with Tyrus getting the ball at the 3-point line.
That sort of things won't happen with Pop. If Tyrus goes to the Spurs he'll be the second big man coming of the bench (behind Splitter).
He'll most likely what he's doing now except he won't attempt that many elbow jumpers.
