I still don't get it. So if Detroit's 1st round pick is in the lottery do we get it or not?

From what I understand, the Grizz want to save $4M on this deal this year. So either:

    1) Gordon for Gay
    2) Diop & Sessions for Gay
    3) Diop, Hendo & Mully for Gay and maybe Selby (to cut that $4M)

I can't really see Memphis going for those unless they're that adamant about saving money. Personally, I hope we're orchestrating as a 3rd team and get back some promising young big that can rebound and score in the paint (because we haven't had someone that can do that since Diaw).

You do not. Detroit's pick won't be in play until next year, assuming they improve. This year, if Detroit is picking anywhere from 1 to 14 (which they will be) they keep their pick. Next year, it's anywhere between 1 and 8 and they keep their pick. In 2015, if they haven't sent Charlotte their pick yet, it's only protected if it's the number one overall pick.

Default Suns/Grizzlies Talking Rudy Gay Trade. WE NEED TO INTERVENE.

Gay goes against all ideas of a rebuild... But then again if I'm being honest it would make this team more exciting than it is right now!
