Isn't Larry Brown the ultimate player development coach? Loves practicebut couldn't care less about games. All about making players learn the game and play the right way.
Complete ass though, so there's that.

Those coaches can develop players...among a few other things...
62 games to teach MKG how an offense works and Biz a few post moves...or whatever you want to theow in there...add all the practice in between: that should be fine. At least those Europeans know what skills are before they enter the league. But drafting two giant athletic bodies in back to back drafts...I'm not suprised basketball camp is our only option.

I have a feeling Kemba is much happier this year as a 18/6 guy getting tons of love and being the leader of the team as compared to last year.
It's not a 3 year basketball camp either. When you have young players, you have to (believe it or not) develop them. Any coach would have to be good at development or else they won't (you guessed it) develop. Take a look at one Paul Silas for that.
He's doing exactly what he came here to do. Increased the pace (10th fasted in the league) and helped improved the game of just about every player on the team. He's doing very well considering the lack of talent on the team and his relative inexperience as a HC.
I guess what I'm trying to say is: Just stop.
I didn't say he was doing a bad job! I was proposing Skiles picking up where Dunlap leaves off in 2013 to 2014 season. I like Dunlap...but squeez all the value from that crucial first year of education for what it's worth...then pass the torch to a perfect for in CHA before the Kings hire him or something. Player development is important...Dunlap is doing a great job. I'm critical of the conservative timetable...not Dunlap or a player development approach. I guess we're on different wave-lengths if we aren't going for broke with the pieces in place for the long haul and shooting soley to win by 2013/14...so that being said, got nothing more to say.

Who's to say he can't be a good or great coach when he doesn't have to focus so much on development and can instead lead a team to a title? He's done a pretty damn good job of keeping the team competitive despite the lack of talent, which speaks a lot to his coaching chops. Besides, Skiles is a .500 coach and hasn't shown he could lead a team to a title and he's done it for 13 years so far. He's averaged just over 36 wins in his tenure in Milwaukee.
We may be on different wavelengths so I'll just use a cliche to clarify mine. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Yeah, my crystal ball just isn't strong enough to help me make any formative posts for this thread.
I feel like we could use a few Iverson faces/smilies. I'm counting on you, Ziggy.
I really love Dunlap. My only criticism of him is our inbounds plays usually suck at the end of games in close situations. Hopefully he'll get plenty of practice with those over the year (which implies we'll be in a lot of close, exciting games).
I don't think it will be any of those coaches. More than likely, it will be a hot-shot assistant coach or a college coach.
Dunlap over all those guys. I'd be shocked if Skiles ever gets another HC job and I'd guess Avery would be pretty iffy too.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
