Default Kemba Walker the next Chris Paul??

    Dunlap seems to think so.

Could Walker ever be to Mkg as Jordan was to Pippen and we just fill in the pieces around them?

Jordan to Pippen? That combo is unreproducable like Eddie Murphy and Arsonio Hall. I like both our young guns but Atleast bring me a Horace Grant or Dennis Rodman type...Guess that's Bismack...
And bitch ass Mullens is Luc Longley
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

It's the right message...but Kemba was not born with that type of court vision or unconscious distributing tendancy. Dunlap is right for inspiring him to refine those parts of his game to adapt true PG skills...but no experts are going to even casually start malking those comparisons since it's not who he really is. For now Jennings is an appropriate comparison; while down the line Westbrook and Rose would be his ceiling.

Kemba has been better than Jennings this year imo

Yeah I think so too. Granted Jennings has been dealing with a very disgruntled Scott Skiles but IMO he hasn't lived up to the hype he had at all.

Sorenson wrote a piece a little similar, talking about how much Dunlap's been pumping up Kemba's tires:

Kemba Walker: Charlotte Bobcats’ first option with game on line

I really don't have a problem with all this...he should aspire to be the greatest he can be and Paul is definitely something to aspire to. Doubt seriously if he ever gets there but that's beside the point.

I agree that Kemba is our best guy to handle the ball with the shot click down... However, I do think we become a bit predictable. As soon as the shotclock hits 10 he isolates his man and drives to the basket or try's to do a fake pull up and gets fouled

Which is somehow better and more reliable than anything else we try.

I think Dunlap tries to overthink stuff sometimes... Gordon is 4th quarter cancer, Sessions won't pass it - ever, Henderson won't pass it - ever - and he can't dribble, our bigs are worthless for the most part, MKG can't shoot, JT gets deer in the headlights look way too often.

Kemba is the man. I wouldn't put any limitations on what he can or will do.

I think Kemba with the right pieces around him could easily average 20/8.5 and be like a Starbury with great intangibles instead of terrible ones

The thing that will take him to that level is an elite bigman to work with. 18/6 or whatever he's averaging now with our 2nd and 3rd best scorers playing basically the same position and role as him is pretty incredible. Sessions and Gordon aren't exactly assist generators

I can see him averaging those numbers with the right pieces beside him . A good scoring low post big and a inproved Smack ,MKG , Taylor ,might get him thair. If he has the right tools to work with i think he could do it.

    Thanks Ammofan!
