I feel terrible for the Sacramento fans.

Looks less likely that Cousins will be traded now. New ownership is going to want to build around him hoping the change will improve his disposition.
Totally f'ed up. All of us should be able to commiserate with those SAC fans but at least we had a good product. They've had a multitude of high picks and they still couldn't get a credible team on the floor.
Sucks. I hate this.

Truly sucks for the Sacramento fans, now they have no sports team.

Reading on the other forums it sounds like it's not a done deal yet. There would be a relocation fee (approx. 150 million) plus there's a 70 million loan that would have to be paid back to Sacramento. Some are saying there's a possibility owners from Sac. could step up with a smaller offer (but a net gain for the Maloofs) and keep the team there.
Pulling hard for Kevin Johnson to keep the team.

Not surprised at all. I am excited that Seattle will have a basketball team again. I think this will officially end any possible trade involving Cousins. I think all major personnel moves will be put on hold as far as the Kings are concerned.
I just hope to god this never happens to us again.

I'd also add, the same state doesn't mean anything in regards to regional pride. Some cities have such a rivalry that they would never pull for the other city's team.
Plus there's the whole being able to attend a game thing. You're more connected to a team you invest money in and can attend games regularly. Sacramento citizens aren't traveling many hours to watch a game in LA. It's like driving down to Orlando just to watch a game. There's just less of a connection if its not your community, doesn't matter if its the same state.
Hell, even the same city. If New York lost the Mets, I guarantee those fans aren't gonna pull for the Yankees. Same with cubs and white sox fans. Even within 8 miles, if Carolina ever disappeared from earth (stop dreaming abc'ers), you would never find a true UNC fan then pulling for dook, just because they are right there.
