For pure shits and giggles I'm gonna side with Corb that Cali has enough teams anyway, lol. If Sacto want another team then the Clippers should just move there (never happen, I know).

You want those people to have to drive 6 hours round trip to catch a game? It's the same state though, right?

In just about that same time you could drive from Charlotte to Charleston.... and back. It's the same state though, right?
Lol it is the same state dude. Might be far but they are all still teams in California. So now that the kings will be gone who do you think they will pull for?

Some people on this board are from the UK and stuff supporting the bobcats.

Most of us live in NC in here and I know most of the people we talk basketball to outside of this forum are not bobcats fans. It's either heat, lakers, or thunder fans.

Hell I'm still pissed at the Maloofs and Sactown for stealing MY Kings from Kansas City. Screw them.

That team needs new ownership badly; wherever they play; and my preference is Seattle.

Gotta roll with Corb on this. There's a plethora of teams for them to choose from..or they can just be Sonics fans.

I wonder what people were saying when the Hornets left?

"Atlanta is close enough, they can just be Hawls fans"?

Good thing the league wasn't so closed minded and gave us a team back

I think they were saying that Shinn is an ass.

Which makes me curious if they would put an expansion team back in Sacramento like they did here. I have no doubt the league wants the Maloofs gone ASAP but they can't just kick them out. When they gave us the Bobcats, it was clear they thought Shinn was the problem, not the market. I don't know that they'll do the same thing now, but I have to believe they feel the same about the Maloofs and Sacramento as they did about Shinn and Charlotte.

I looked at Wiki and found this:

Sacramento metro population 25th in US.

    Seattle 15th.

    Charlotte 33rd.

I was surprised to see Sactown that high.

Metro population is a regional statistic that includes surrounding areas. Charlottes and Seattles value likely improves as you look further out. Not sure about Sacramento.

But it's not just population but regional corporate wealth as well. In that aspect the SF / Oakland area 90 minutes away and the Seattle areas likely have huge advantages.
