Default Jan 15th is here, so who's out there we should target?

I think there is a chance we go after Kris Humphries. He had been one of our targets in the offseason and has dropped out of the rotation in Bklyn. They are rumored to want Ilyasova from the Bucks and need to get space for him. I would welcome his hustle and rebounding but only if we can ge Marshon Brooks. The problem would be what we give up. I know Diop will be involved and maybe Reggie Williams. Gordon has been lights out for us but with Brooks he comes expendable and maybe open up some more trades to get the roster more balanced. Not saying that Brooks is as good as Gordon but with time he could become an elite scorer.

Brooklyn's going to want actual value for Humphries, not just cap relief. With the new stadium opening up and the team trying to poach Knicks fans, Prokhorov isn't going to take a step backward to save a little money. I'd expect them to wait until this summer and use Humphries' expiring with Brooks and/or picks as bait for a pseudo-star like Rudy Gay or Danny Granger.

A big that can score is the only thing this team needs. I think our defensive with an actual big the is not inept at C or PF would fix itself. Humphries brings a lot of what this teams needs. The only issue with him would be the fact that if he works out who the hell does this team draft? Do they still go for a big and forget Biz exists or do they go for a SG that is longer then hendo like Shabaz.

Draft either cause Humphries salary is 12 mil and if he wants more let him walk if we can't resign him for about 8 mil. Hendo is due a big pay day but if he wants more than we can afford let him walk like DJ did.

I don't want Humphries because I wouldn't dare pay him $12 million per year if I was a GM. The only way we should take on Humphries is if we can trade Tyrus for him. Otherwise, I believe Adrien can provide us with almost the same attributes as Humphries for a tenth of the price. The Nets make a mistake when they signed him to that contract this offseason, and now they regret it. Before we trade for Humphries, we should look into trading for Tyler Hansbrough for the low.

10-11 and 11-12 Humphries finished the year averaging a double double!

You think Adrien can do that?

I don't know the exact date, but it's usually the Tuesday after the All-Star Game, I believe. February 20-something every year.
