They're over the cap so they'd have to send some salary back. Really the only thing of value at a low salary is Taj and the poison pill makes any trade with him involved difficult. Plus, with us getting back our first, it'd take some good value to do it. Bismack may be enough to cover it on his own, but they'd have to add at least 3 of their lower salaried players to make it work, and they might like guys like Teague or Butler too much to add to the deal.
That leaves bigger salaried guys. Bismack for Hinrich and our first works, but we really don't have much use for Hinrich. Boozer is always in play but I'd rather give up our first than take him on.
Seems like a tough deal to make unless it was a three-teamer
this is probably just a case of the bobcats calling the bulls and saying "what would it take for us to get our first back?".
can't see them trading biz for that only.
The trade is Gordon and Biyombo for Boozer and Charlotte's first. Possibly with a minor chip or two thrown in on either side.

Logic. Biyombo, at this point, isn't worth a first-round pick that many consider to eventually be an unprotected lottery pick. Chicago just paid Boozer's backup near-starter money and has a big hole at shooting guard that they've been trying(unsuccessfully) to fill ever since Gordon left. Charlotte has a frontcourt that is startlingly incompetent offensively and a logjam on the perimeter. Charlotte gets their draft pick back (which frees this years' pick back up to be traded, remember) for taking on the last year of Boozer's contract, and Chicago gets a big-man project to fill out their lineup because they're trading big for small. What else could it possibly be?
I wish we did that Boozer trade. Let's make it happen!
Okay I see the logic in Bismack for our pick, there's some similar value there. But Gordon for Boozer?

Well, that's where the discussion's going to start and end. If Charlotte wants their pick back, then they have to save Chicago the last year of Boozer's contract. Nobody's giving up a potential lottery pick for Bismack now, so that's not close to similar value.

I agree with Bogg...Reinsdorf is cheap as hell and I can see it coming down to us eating Boozer's salary vs. them amnestying him. It also wouldn't surprise me if there was some kind of Hamilton/Hendo swap in the discussion.
Before I'd move Biz I'd rather:
Hendo/Sessions
for
Hamilton/Hinrich/CHA 1st
but I think the money is going to mean more to Chicago than any talent/youth upgrade.
I'd rather not do it personally.
