Chicago Bulls Sam Smith responds to the Charlotte Bobcats and Sacramento Kings Trade Rumor by RumorPress yesterday:
I’ve gotten a few emails about Jason Thompson this week, so this is where it comes from. Obviously, it is some writer who has no understanding of the Bulls roster or the NBA who is making something up. First of all, the Bulls just extended Taj Gibson. Why then would they want someone like Thompson, who is another Gibson. Plus, Thompson has a long contract that effectively would limit the ability of the Bulls to sign Mirotic. Have you seen Biyombo? Haven’t seen much indication he can play. And knowing Charlotte wants that pick back suggests you’d want to keep it as that would mean Charlotte may know come 2016 they might be losing one of the top three picks in the draft. For Tyrus Thomas. That would be sweet.
.....Maybe that's why it doesn't make any sense...

Yeah, that's a huge leap of logical faith.
"you would want"
"may know"
"might be"
Maybe they just (like every other team in the draft) value a ffirst round draft pick
Since Biz had another offensive interference...I'm wondering what fragile object spectre broke tonight?

Heh, since we were playing pretty well and winning I wasn't in the usual sour mood so everything survived...other than my 12 yr old learning a new word or two.
Biz didn't have glorious stats but I was ok with how he played last night. I liked his post moves even tho they didn't go in and I liked how aggressively he was fighting in the paint defensively...even tho he didn't pull in a lot of boards lol!

It looks as though this season will be a case of Biz doing 1 or 2 things well and 3 or 4 things badly each game ... and a different 1 or 2 things each time too.
You can see he's having to think about every little thing he does ... the only thing instinctive in his game is basket interference!
The 7th pick was a high 'price' to pay for a player so raw but the multi-year development, IF he becomes a player, will have fitted in very well with our rebuilding timeline.

First of all, the trades at the beginning of this topic were ridiculous and obviously made up by someone from the bulls camp, so i won't even dignify them. And i guess i'll be the first to actually address the topic of this thread. No i don't think Cho has given up on Biz. He's scouted him more than anyone in the NBA for years and knew how raw he would be. I think he is realistic about it taking a few more years for him to develop. I think the fans are the ones who aren't. I don't believe he will be included in any trade right now. I think Cho is fully committed to developing "his picks" right now and using vets on the roster to trade, future picks, and cap room to bring in the cavalry.
