    Exclamation MKG and his struggles

I think it's pretty obvious by now that we reached on this guy. His jumpshot looks worse than Biyombo's and Dunlap clearly trusts Taylor's defense more.

I wonder why there are no offensive plays for mkg. I don't know. However awkward the shot, he can still make some jump shots. What I noticed was his becoming a 5th option in offense on the court.seriously. It's like he has to get his own shot, which is not really his game. They're not setting him up enough in spots where he can work. Some of the missed jump shots are a product of him forcing shots on the wrong spots. I think dunlap must be the one to adjust some plays for him.5 attempts? really? for a 2nd over all pick? not play him in the 4th?just wow. they're turning him into a wasted pick.

There were never any real plays drawn up for Crash and we expect MKG to be better than him. That being said I would like to see him iso more like he did vs. Reddick.

I'm more than fine with where he is and us bringing him along like we are. Sure I'd like to see him play more but perhaps there's a reason we don't know about affecting his minutes.

    this one is so easy.

    rookie wall meet mkg.

he is exhausted and a little nicked up. it is so obvious, he looks like he is laboring most of the time he is in. we should cut his minutes to about 10 per game until the all-star break. at one point last night, i thought he was jeff adrien at quick glance as he was running up the court next to vuvecic (or however you spell it). then i saw the 14 on his back and was shocked that the thought ever crept into my mind.

    Default MKG and his struggles

Yeah, this guy is terrible! I can't believe he was even taken in the first round. He's 19 years old and not averaging 15 a game. All he does is rebound, play hard, play great defense, block shots, and be a great teammate. It's obvious that he can never be a good offensive player. I mean if he hasn't perfected his game in his first 30 games, he'll never get it. What a horrible pick.

Much of MKG's 'fatigue' can be attributed to getting excessive minutes this season at the PF spot. Routinely giving up 40-60 pounds to your opponent will have a more significant impact than the rookie wall. That is one of the reasons GW was vocal about his resistance to getting major minutes at the PF spot (fatigue &feet concussions)

I really don't remember seeing him getting "excessive" minutes at the 4.

I recall him going h2h with Davis in that Hornets game, but it's not like he's going to get shoved around by him. Whenever he's at the 4, it's not like he's guarding Zach Randolph or other big dudes. He's usually in with both teams are going with a small lineup

MKG is a rookie, not to mention currently the youngest player in the NBA, averaging 10 points on 48% shooting, 6 rebounds, 2 assist, 1 block, & 1 steal per game in 28 minutes with a PER of 16. I don't really see the problem besides the fact that we never really run any plays through him and he's seeing inconsistent minutes because Dunlap doesn't trust his offensive skill sets in the halfcourt when we're in a close game.

Anybody doubting MKG's future because he's going through a rough patch which is commonly called the rookie wall, I would like to say "he's looking a lot better than Kawhi Leonard".

    Default MKG and his struggles

I'm not surprised his play has dropped off somewhat, it was bound to happen at some point. I'm just hoping that the all star break he will get a bit of a break and feels reinvigorated seeing his friends from Kentucky in the rookie game. I imagine he's feeling the length of the season right now, missing his fam and friends, adjusting to losing. But don't worry, I'm sure it will come

Davis is 220 lbs. MKG is not giving up much bulk against him at all, only inches.

The kid is 19 years old and has the heart of a lion. He will be fine!
