I have noticed that Tyrus Thomas has been a "Did Not Play (DNP)- Coach's Decision" stat line in the box score in a lot of recent games. Did he get into some locker room confrontation that we don't know about? Has he requested a trade? Are Hakim Warrick and Jeff Adrien simply out-playing Tyrus that much in games and in practice? Is Dunlap sick of his mouth, so he's benching him? What's going on?

All his minutes now belong to Jeff Adrien. And considering each guy's play this year, i think that's how it should be.
Tyrus Thomas and Hakim Warrick are essentially the same person/player like a hybrid, whereas they're both are frail in structure & subject to brain farts on the court, but one is minimally better at offense while the other is slightly better at defense. Personally, I'd rather have Tyrus on the floor than Warrick, but I don't know what might have transpired off the court that may have lead to Mike Dunlap's decision to play one more than the other. However, I do agree that only one of them should earn playing time per game while the other should receive DNP-CD.
Sidebar, I would rather see Jeff Adrien on the floor than either.

I would love to see both Warrick and Thomas on the at the same time, but I think I might be the only one. It's sad to see someone with Tyrus' skills being benched by the Bobcats, but I won't complain while they're playing this well.
TT seems like Warrick clone on the floor but with better shot blocking ability.

Tyrus being on the bench can be entirely justified by his lack of production.
Tyrus: 13 games; av. 16.5min; 31.3 fg%; 2.8 trb; 1.0 blk; 5.5 pts; 8.7per ... for $8,000,000.
Hakim: 23 games; av. 18.9min; 40.1 fg%; 3.6 trb; 0.3 blk; 7.3 pts; 11.5per ... for $4,000,000.
Adrien: 14 games; av. 12.9min; 50.0 fg%; 4.4 trb; 0.5 blk; 3.7 pts; 12.9per ... for $0,300,000?
I like PER for a quick, general reference point (I realise there's no substitute for watching the games) and Tyrus is simply not providing anything (apart from blocks) that the others aren't. He'll get some minutes soon, but he hasn't earned them.

I think its just a matter of Mike Dunlap being dyslexic and not knowing who is who.

If they aren't going to play him and can't move him in a trade, than I see no point in keeping him on the team. Just amnesty him and get over with it.
