Default Any updates on Mullens return?

I haven't read anything on him in awhile. Anyone have a clue when he'll be back?

Bonnell said that there is no timetable, but he's not close.

I heard February and that he IS close. Still swollen in the footal region (i think thats the science name for it) but from what I've heard he's getting shots up and moving around on it. Just not making basketball moves on it.

    From yesterday:

    Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell
Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap said Byron Mullens is a "long way away" from playing. Mullens sprained his ankle just before Christmas.

If he can not get some pt by the trade deadline, we probably will not be moving him due to lack of interest. And that makes me kind of sad. I really do not want to extend him this summer unless it is dirt cheap (like Brendan Haywood's cheap contract). Of course if he misses most of the remaining season maybe we can get him back cheaply. I see him as an OK backup to give us 14-20 min. per game mostly at the 4 but a little at the 5 if he can improve his posting. But that is it.

If we do move him it'll be because his contract is an expiring, not because any team thinks he's that great. I wouldn't worry to much about whether he plays or not.
