but Boozer's only job this year was too right the ship until Rose gets back and he's done that and then some. Bulls games are painful to watch to the casual fan, but they've been done better than anyone has really expected this year. I can't see Boozer getting traded.

I don't think cho will give up biz in any trade right now. He knew he was young and raw and he went through a lot to get him. I also don't think we would just give chicago all of our expirings and eat shit just to get the pick. Boozer might be playing well but no one in the league likes that contract and they know it. I could see Boozer,Heinrich,And Cook/Bellinelli + our pick for Gordon,Sessions/Mully,Hendo.
This saves Chicago about 20 million over the next 2 years, gives them a true vet point guard behind rose or they can let mully walk to save more cash, and gives them a capable young 2 guard to put beside him that they won't have to break the bank to keep. This helps Charlotte because we keep our cap flexibility after the Wiggins /Parker draft of 2014, get a vet PF, and still have a veteran presence in the backcourt with kemba for the next 2 years.
I think Cho wants to get another lottery pick this year. Otherwise i don't think they'd be pursuing this that hard. I think they know that Muhammed and Mclemore would both be upgrades over Hendo and i think Cho really wants to find a way to add Bennett as well. Having him behind boozer for his rookie year wouldn't actually be bad.I might be wrong but as bad as people think this draft is i think there are several players that can help us a lot. I'm expecting Cho to be aggressive this year.
I personally would like to amnesty Tyrus and make a serious run @ Al jefferson after all these moves if it actually went down this way. A line up of Walker,Muhammed,Mkg,Boozer, and Jefferson with Heinrich,Taylor,Cook,Biyombo, Bennett, Haywood, and Warrick as reserves wouldn't be a bad start getting things on track.

Default A Way We Can Get Our Pick Back From Chicago.

I think we all need to stop clinging on. It's gone guys, we just have to accept that. Why would the bulls blow it up without knowing how competitive they are with Rose?

They wouldn't be blowing anything up. They've already indicated that taj gibson is their guy and that boozer and heinrich aren't gonna be there going forward. They've been trying to move boozer since the summer. This deal gives gives them a true back up for rose and a young 2 guard(both of which, they've been trying desperately to find) and saves them 20 million dollars. If you don't think that team is terrified of the luxury tax, then you weren't paying attention to how scared they were to do anything this summer. This deal makes sense from a basketball and financial standpoint for both teams. I'm not saying it would happen. But i think it solves a lot of problems for the bulls that they haven't been able to solve on their own up until now.

Getting rid of their 2nd best offensive player, and right now their 1st best offensive player would screw up their entire offence

If they trade Boozer it's happening this summer, not next month. Time to shelve this thread for about six months, at which point it's worth another look. Charlotte will have a bunch of cap space, especially if they amnesty Tyrus, and won't have to send much in salary back to Chicago. Paying $30 million for a mid-first is steep, but Charlotte's desperately going to need post scoring, especially if they wind up drafting a shooting guard or Noel at the top of the draft.

I think Chicago will move boozer whenever they can. Like i said, they've been trying to move him since last summer. And i wouldn't paying 30 million for a first either. That's why Gordon has to be in the deal. Just swapping those 2 would save chicago 17-18 million, but not leave us taking on everything. The value for the 1st would be them getting Sessions or Mullen's expiring and Henderson. Who knows. Maybe they'll just trade us the pick and heinrich for sessions and hendo and try to make a run with their team this year. I'd be perfectly happy having that deal knowing that we would be in a positon to replace hendo in a few months and that we would have that pick back along with the detroit and portland ones to possibly get bennett or another big as well. We'll see i guess!

You sure? Glancing at Hoophype they're at 74 million plus right now and that's over the limit isn't it? Being as how Reinsdorf has never paid tax (that I know of) I wouldn't bet the farm on that.

It's not like Charlotte has cap space or a non-guaranteed contract that they can use to slash Chicago's payroll this year. The salaries have to match to a certain degree, so if Chicago's looking to get under the tax line this year they'll get someone with cap sapce to eat Rip Hamilton's contract, like Memphis wound up doing with Cleveland.
