Are there any other season ticket holders on here who haven't received the survey? I got an email saying that a survey was coming but I only got the demographic one, not this in depth one.
Day7z- the time for debate has come and gone.
The team is doing their due diligence and will decide which brand it thinks will best represent Charlotte.
I will support their decision.

They probably go out in flights - if there sending to anyone that is or has been a STH, I wouldn't be surprised if they send them out in batches of several thousand and then wait a bit (to get an idea of response-rate) so it might just have not gotten to your pod yet. You also might want to check your spam folder - the email comes from "Research@hpolsurveys.com" with a Subject Line of "Charlotte Bobcats Survey!"

Try giving your rep a call. I only got the demo one too so I called today to see when the in depth one was coming. He said Harris, for whatever reason, set up triggers in the demographic questions that would either give you the full survey or stop it at the demographics. He said he'd put in for me to get the full one and that I should see it in about 24 hours.
Not sure why all STH's wouldn't just get the full survey right off the bat without any "trigger" questioms, but I'd bet that's the issue.

That does seem a bit odd that it wouldn't go to everyone (I thought similar to what Adam42R suggested that they probably went out in waves) and I would think the demographic responses would be tied to the responses of the in depth survey just for the sake of finding out if there were certain groups that were for or against the things from the survey.
Agreed, it seems odd to exclude anyone with such a small population pool.
Assuming the team has 10-12k STH and most I imagine have 2 tickets, that's only 5 or 6k surveys at most and that doesn't sound like an overwhelming amount of data to crunch for one of the top marketing firms in the US.
Just got around to doing mine and like most surveys I was honest and took my time with it. I thought one of the more interesting questions was "Assume the Bobcats are changing their nickname: what is your opinion for the name change..." and it listed Hornets in one block and "other name" in another block. That's kind of where the whole name hoopla presents itself to me; if we are changing names I very much want it to be Hornets, but I'd rather just keep things as they are.
I "voted" to keep the current Bobcat colors in the event of changing to Hornets as opposed to the teal and purple which I never liked. However, I did opt to get rid of the light blue and change that to teal which I think would look better. Just not purple. I know, I know, it's the color of royalty and this it's the Queen City and all but purple just doesn't look good with teal. Teal and navy blue in place of purple would be a good compromise in my book.
Also, I "voted" that the Hornets name has a more negative connotation than positive to me because of the sour taste left in my mouth from them leaving us in '02.
Although there wasn't any mention of it, if the name change does go through I just hope and plead we keep the Hugo logo. That is too classic to get rid of. It's so 80s; back when logos actually had some character and personality unlike those of today that are more abstract and just plain boring.
Ultimately, it's like it always has been with me, as long as there is an NBA team within driving distance and in the Carolinas, I'm cool. I have a soft spot for the Bobcats, me and that name have been through a lot (and yes, most of it laden with disappointments, but still) but I'm open to the name change and will likely be hit with an unexpected surge of excitement when/if it is changed to Hornets.
Big question I've been thinking about though, what happens with the record book? Do we integrate Bobcats history with Charlotte Hornets history? I kind of hope so. Maybe we can have Dell and Muggsy's jerseys in the rafters (not retired, just honored) along with Bobby Phills's, which I would personally like, and even though it would take GW away from a lot of our all-time leader in different categories, I'd like to have Dell as our all-time leading scorer, and Muggsy our assister and stealer. Just something to ponder.
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13
