Default The Picture is Becoming Clear

At this point I haven resigned myself to the Bobcats finishing yet another season with the worst record in the NBA. What am I happy about? I am happy with the progress that Kemba Walker has made. I am happy with the pick of MKG - With more talent around him next season and another year to mature physically I can't wait to see what he will do. I love the pickup of Ramon Sessions for this team because he is valuable asset moving forward.

What I am disappointed in? I am disappointed in Biyombo's development. He is way to inconsistent and needs to show a huge amount of progress next season or I will start to label him as a bust. I am disappointed in Byron Mullens offensive game. I thought he would develop into a better shooter and a more consistent shooter. He takes way too many shots.

I will be very interested to see what the Bobcats do and if they make a trade over the next few weeks before the deadline.

But what has me the most excited? The fact that the Cats are going to likely have the #1 or #2 Pick and the Trail Blazers 1st Round Pick somewhere in the range of 13-16

Why does that have me excited? Because the Bobcats have the worst front-court in the NBA by a wide margin. They are terrible rebounders and don't have any post play or pick-and-roll bigs.

Previously, I thought the Cats should draft Shabazz Muhammad but I have been wavering on that. Now I am of the opinion that they should draft Nerlens Noel at #1/#2 because at 6'11 with a 7'4 wingspan and great athleticism he would give the Cats something they have never had. Then in that #13-#16 range take a risk on one of the young SG prospects that have a lot of potential - Glenn Robinson III, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, or Reggie Bullock.

Amnesty Tyrus and then make a huge push in free agency for Al Jefferson. The more I have watched the Jazz this season I would pay Jefferson some serious cash. Could you see this roster next year?

    PG: Kemba/Sessions
    SG: Gerald/Gordon/Caldwell-Pope
    SF: MKG/Taylor
    PF: Nerlens/Mullens
    C: Jefferson/Biz

    Wow!

I'd be thrilled if it worked out this way. I'm a fan of McLemore, but regardless, Millsap or Jefferson both improve our front court drastically. I'm beginning to think that signing one of the two is borderline essential, and getting either of them makes the draft a lot easier.

    Make it happen Cho.

Booo anyone giving up on Biz this early. He's shown lots of improvement, you just need subtle eyes to see it. Surround him with players that aren't total bums like Driftwood, Hak Warrick, Diop and Tyrus "Bench Splinters" Thomas and you'd see some more improvement.

Where were the EmmaCats when I was a young stud on the dating scene instead of the washed up old veteran picksetter with a bad hip that I am today??....

I like getting some big guys in the draft. Noel is my first choice, but I also wouldn't mind Gobert and maybe Bennett. We need to fill the stable with good big guy prospects and see who develops.

Look what the Jazz are doing with Kanter and Favors. The bucks have Erson Ilyasova, Larry Saunders, Tobias Harris and John Henson. We need to do something like this where we aren't putting all our eggs in one basket.

As for Milsap or Jefferson I am not totally sold. If we make a bunch of moves to contend next year we are taking ourselves out of the Wiggins sweepstakes. I would rather take a bunch of big guys with potential so we don't get to good to fast and have a shot a Wiggins.
