I definitely want us to keep Hendo unless we get unreal value in a trade.
I think he gets the QO.
If we grab Shabazz, I'll be very happy to keep Hendo on a lowish contract coming off the bench to spread the floor with his perimeter shot and a stopper, while also being a 3rd/4th option on offense. Otherwise trade him, since he's too good to get paid a decent amount and come off the bench for 20~ mins a game. Better trade for more assets.
If we don't grab Shabazz, mid-level contract, continuing to start. Give Kemba the keys to the offense, Hendo playing as second man putting up solid 15~ PPG ala Luol Deng while also taking best perimeter player on defense. Also Hendo to be more assertive on offense. Kemba/Hendo to take the big shots late in the game.

Yea, never seen him take a game over.As far as no. 1, I think Hendo has to be more assertive. Sometimes he plays as if he's the 3rd or 4th option.

Henderson would be a BEAST on a team like the Bulls. He's a defensive stopper who is also an above average scorer.
However, I don't like the idea of having a PG, SG, and SF that can't spread the D with outside shooting. Unless we keep him around until we have more pieces, he might be best on another team.
Mentioned this trade in another thread:
To Phoenix: G- Gerald Henderson, PF- Bismack Biyombo, C- Desagna Diop, Portland's 1st Round Pick
To Charlotte: C- Marcin Gortat, G/F - Jared Dudley
Gortat's decent, but he's not a franchise-changer and he's on the verge of his thirties. Seems like a deal for the sake of making a deal.

Biyombo is not a fit in this system, I don't think. Portland's 1st rounder will be anywhere from 12-15 most likely. If we have a top 3 pick with our original pick, that would be good enough to pair with Dudley and Gortat. I really don't think the front office wants to bring in two rookies from this class.
Can someone remind me why Taylor isn't our starting 2 man?
