God it's early to be making boom or bust predictions. This will be funny if I revisit later.

    Stud: Muhammad, Noel, Bennett.
Bust: Austin, Plumlee, Len, Gobert, Doug McDermott, anyone for Louisville, those Michigan scrubs.
So brother daves draft plan... don't draft white players....k got it.

Not this year. I like Dario Saric a lot but he needs another year overseas for seasoning. Plumlee or Len would be fine with a second pick, definitely not our 1st pick.

McDermott really sucks, he has Chis Crawford written all over him. Austin is a stick insect that likes to shoot 3's, I can't see him putting on enough weight to justify a mid or better 1st rd pick. But if you need Brandan Wright with 3 pt range he's your guy I guess. Len can't guard or score on 6'8" guys but he's okay.

    Busts:

Noel - amazing talent but to many health problems. The guy missed a whole year in high school with an injury to the same knee. Needs to add weight to be an effective NBA front court player, but can his knees handle the extra weight? Needs to develop in several areas, but is missing time due to injury. Only NBA ready on the defensive side of the ball, if he can stay healthy.

Baz - Plays virtually no defense (which is contagious). Selfish player who doesn't get teammates involved (also contagious), a virtual black hole on the perimeter . Only goes left with the dribble. Lacks advanced ball handling moves. Players that can score but don't really defend get paid a lot but don't help there teams win. (Ben Gordon, Rudy Gay)

McLemore - Does a lot of things well in college but few at an NBA level. Only a catch and shoot player, doesn't create any offense with the ball. Not a good ball handler. Not a good passer. Short wingspan and slightly undersized for a shooting guard, doesn't have the tools to be good in the NBA on defense. Ceiling is Raja Bell and floor is Wesley Johnson.

Bennett - Doesn't play good on ball defense and a horrible help defender. Short for a PF, to slow of foot to be a perimeter player. Questionable motor and Basketball IQ. No back to the basket game.

    Studs

Trey Burk - The current rules make it easy for PGs to have success. If this guy goes to the right situation he is going to look like a stud right away. There is a reason almost every team has a close to all star level PG. Problem for us is we already have Kemba.

    Possible Studs

Oladipo - very good defensive player so he will find a spot in someones rotation. Shot the ball well this year on a small sample size, but doesn't really create for others or handle the ball well. Could become an elite perimeter defender like Tony Allen or Sefolosha with better shooting.

Smart - Plays very good defense and shows promise in a lot of other areas. Needs to improve shooting and decision making to be successful in the league. Good ball handler though and good at creating for others.

Initial Bust but might eventually turn out in order of most likely to turn out

Zeller - needs to add weight so he doesn't get knocked off balance constantly by bigger and stronger players. Has skill and experience though and a back to the basket game if he can ever hold his position. Limited rim defender due to short wingspan.

Gobert - a long way from being an NBA player, but could be an excellent rim defender. 7'1'' with a 7'9'' wingspan is off the charts

So basically you think all the good prospects will be busts

Smart is number 3 on draft express. Oladipo is 5. I think those guys will be solid players though not up to the standards of a typical top pick. Everyone knows this draft lacks talent at the top though.

They other guys, yeah I think they will mostly be busts. There will be a lot of busts in this draft because of the expectations people have for players slotted a specific draft positions.

Shabaz by the way has dropped all the way to number 9 on draft express board.
