dunlap, of all people, should really be heading the charge to stop the incessant comparisons with chirs paul. it is unfair to kemba.
As a Kemba homer, I agree. CP3's immaculate court vision is something you can't learn no matter how much tape you watch. On the other side of the ball, I think Kemba can get to CP3's level though by watching tape and learning how to move those feet.

Regardless of comparisons, I'm as excited by having Kemba on our team as I have been about any Bobcat ever, which actually is saying something considering the man-crush I, like many others here, had on GW.

Your statements are ignorant. I'm sure almost every decent player in the NBA over 25 years old watched tape & tried to emulate Michael Jordan without having a chance to duplicate his athleticism. There's more to being a great player than strength & jumping ability, like awareness. There's passes that he can watch on tape that he wouldn't notice in the midst of actual play. That's like saying that Kobe Bryant or LeBron James couldn't learn anything from Hakeem Olajuwon because they're not 7 feet tall.

it isn't at all. westbrook and rose can do things athletically that kemba can't duplicate. like take contact and finish at the rim. kemba can try all he wants but he can't. no point in copying. same thing with those trying to emulate jordan. and i was not referring to athleticism. i was referring to his natural basketball skills and competitive mindset which were so far superior to all those who tried to "be like mike".

kemba can watch all the tape he wants, he still doesn't and will never see the floor like cp3. nor does he run the point like a general. cp3 is in control of all parts of the game, kemba is not that type of player. it is the crux of my argument. we are going to just have to disagree on this one.

Lad time I checked Kemba was 4th in the league in 3 point plays...
    Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Kema Walker The Core, The Future...
    Bizmack Biyombo
    Jeffrey Taylor

Kemba would be SOOO much better if he had talent around him lol. We've already seen what he can do without anybody on the team. I think that's what's separating him from being an all star.

Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, Jrue Holliday and Kyrie Irving are what's separating Kemba from being an all-star. That's without any of the Wall/Lowry/Jennings/Teague/Knight group making a big jump or Deron Williams regaining his old form. I've said this before, but point guard is stacked right now. "Better than Felton" isn't going to cut it.

So are you trying to say Lowry, Jennings, Teague, and Knight are better than Kemba? Don't think so.

No, what I'm saying is that any of them could make a big leap from one year to the next and rise a level. Lowry was better than Kemba last year but hasn't gotten comfortable yet in Toronto (it'll probably help that they just traded for his best NBA friend). Jennings and Teague are both putting up good numbers for actual playoff squads, and Knight's putting up decent numbers while being almost two years younger. My point is that Kemba isn't the only player who can get better over time.
