Yeah. I love the guy's game and I think he'd be a big enough of a difference maker here that he'd be worth max dollars but as we've learned nobody chooses to sign here when there are more than one other team in the running.

But yeah, to answer the OP's question: yes, we should.

Any efficient 15/10 Big who can be a factor in the low post and has a 4-5 years in the tank deserves serious consideration.

I'm not so sure that Cho will make a move for one though as I'm convinced he's eying the top of the 2014 draft. Then he'll go for it.

Simple solution... somebody here just has to "catfish" him like Manti Te'o. Who here has the most ladylike voice?

Just pretend you're a supermodel from Montenegro, and that sucker will come down for peanuts.

In fact, here's Lisa Montenegro. Even thought she's Brazilian, he'll just see the name Montenegro and fall for it.

I'm just trying to help my team out in any way possible.

And this strategy seems to have worked before.

Dont think Minnesota could match a sizeable offer for Pekovic. They have a lot of money tied up in Love and will need room to sign Rubio. The only way, in my opinion, the Wolves can keep Pekovic is to trade Love.

First of all, Pekovic WILL get a max offer from someone. You can write that in stone. I guarantee it! Secondly, anyone who thinks he isn't worth more than 10 million(lol) or that he's not an all- star caliber center, has obviously not seen him play much, if at all. I would throw him the max without blinking to come to Charlotte. He'd instantly be one of the top centers in the east. If fact, if we drafted Bennett and signed Pekovic to go with he and MKG, we'd probably have one of the best front courts in all of basketball in the coming years.

Yes. Whatever amount he wants I'd give him

Isn't Marc Gasol on a max contract? I would've given Marc the max...and I think Pek is better than Marc.

Minnesota has room. Even if Roy doesn't retire for good, signing Pekovic to a max contract doesn't put them up at the luxury tax. Rubio's got two more years on his rookie deal, and at this point it's not clear if Rubio's going to be a max player. The idea that Minnesota has to let Pekovic walk for nothing because they already have one big contract and will have to sign another one two years from then is just silly.
