i mean add williams to the gordon and humphries trade something like that
Thanks for the correction, I was going off one of the little stat boxes they showed during the game the other night that said BG was averaging 17.6 ppg this season. It could've said over x amount of games but I didn't see it, although I did think "man, it doesn't seem like he's averaging that.
That being said, I still like what BG brings to the table. Again, not looking at the stats, but I think he is our best outside shooter regardless of shooting %. Like I said, I like what BG brings offensively and feel that when given the PT he is our best option at SG. I'd much rather give up Hendo if we're not extending him, which IMO, we shouldn't.

We already have a hard time scoring. This trade would not sure up anything. Kris can rebound, but he's not a back to the basket threat. He's a hustle guy at the most in his prime who gets loose change points. He can rebound but he's not 7'0 he's the same size as Biz so how does that really help.
That's my thinking. I wouldn't mind it at all if we had signed him over the summer or traded a defensive guy for him, but wasn't the reason we traded for BG to begin to with was because we absolutely sucked on the perimeter offensively? So, now we trade the only respected threat we have for a hustle guy?
Totally okay with this. Hump would arguably be our best offensive big by default.

Have been saying this for awhile now http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=aknuyrs. Then follow up with http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bqzjgu9. This really doesn't mess up our draft because it will take time to gel but we have players locked up for 2 yrs at key positions giving us time for our drafted players to work there way into the NBA. Ben Gordons scoring will be replaced by scoring, rebounding and an offensive minded scorer. I wanted Brooks out the draft because he was compared to Kobe coming out. We won't win that many more games as where we will be out the top 5. We will have to solid picks with ours and Portlands but still next yr there deals are expiring next yr so we can flip them or either look to resign them. To me this does mean the end of TT.
Kemba, Sessions,
Hendo, Brooks, Williams
MKG, Taylor,
Humphries, Mullens, TT, Adrien
Gortat, Biz, Haywood
No way that works. I'm ok with Humphries, because no team can have 5 all-stars,but if he's gonna be our 4 long term,we had damn sure better end up with a big time center. A team with Gortat and Humphries as our 2 bigs would be first round sweep fodder for years and this rebuild would be pointless. We need to take our time and do whatever is necessary to build an actual contender, cause the city is gonna lose it's patience if the end result doesn't produce some excitement. The only way i would do that deal is if Phoenix threw in a first rounder(i'm guessing it would be the Laker's pick) as well and cho had every intention of letting Gortat walk if he didn't sign on to be a back up for the mid-level in 2 years.

I don't need to see how dunlap does with an upgraded roster. It's already clear to me he isn't an above average head coach. Anyone can coach talent, but a talented coach can get the most out of a bad roster. That isn't happening here.
I am not upset about the losing. I understand we are going to lose. I am upset about losing consistently by 30 pts to teams like the cavs. There is no way the cavs are 30 pts better then us.
Everyone is saying dunlap is a development coach, but that is really a hope not an observation. What I see is a coach trying to scratch out every win he can. Take the zone for example. It works to get a few more wins vs crappy teams but our players are not getting experience at playing man vs NBA competition. It might enable us to beat a team like the wizards but a team that can make the extra pass or hit the open three just carves us up.
If he is so much about development, how come biz isn't getting touches on the block. How come we aren't trying to establish mullens in the post. Why would he have MKG just standing out on the edge for spot up shots?
I remember when people were saying Sam Vincent was a good coach he just needed a legit big man. We went out and got Nazr which didn't really change anything. Do you really feel like getting Hump is going to make a difference?
Hump is a total scrub. He only does one thing at the NBA level which is rebound. Mullens is a vastly better player and I think Mullens sucks too, but at least he can shoot as well as rebound. Thinking this trade would make an impact on our fortune is wishful thinking. Its about like hoping some great development is going on in practice even though what we are seeing on the court is trash. Its a nice thought but it isn't reality. The reality is BG is a much better player and a better chip. Neither guy will be around by the time we are good so the roster fit doesn't really matter.
No, a thousand times no. The guy is high maintanence and does not get along with his teammates according to various reports. Plus he has a very highly publicized divorce proceeding coming up. Do we want this? Plus I think we can get much better value than Humphries for Gordon. The only way I do this is if Brooklyn throws in a 1st round pick. Yes the trade works out money wise, but let's not forget Humphries didn't have much interest at all in the free agent market and only got this big deal because he was supposed to be a throw in on a proposed Dwight Howard deal and they needed his salary to bump up the package they were offering Orlando.
And really guys? Gordon and Adrian for Humphries AND Brooks (the guy the Nets refused to surrender for Joe Johnson)? Not going to happen.
I say trade Henderson, Diop, and possibly Warrick at the deadline and get as many assets as possible. Then look to trade Sessions and Gordon in the offseason.
