    Boozer + 1st rd pick = Diop + Warrick
Add the cancer and an expiring contract to get them under the tax and I'm down. Otherwise that's WAY too much salary for a declining Boozer and a mid 1st (assuming that's our 1st returned) for my liking.

You're right. It's a lot of salary. However, it's not my money and it's only an issue if it keeps them from doing something more productive with the money. I believe that Cho is following the OKC model to the T. I just think that the only free agent acquisitions we're going to see over the next few years will be contracts like Ramon Sessions; they are going to get all their significant, long-term contributors through the draft or a real quality-for-quality trade (like Green for Perkins). If that's the case, the Boozer money shouldn't really affect the progress of the franchise.
I don't expect it to happen because I understand that Jordan is not in the same position as Mark Cuban. But given Cho's blueprint, it would be worth a lot to get that pick back.

All I keep hearing is Cho is following the OKC model. That model only works if you can draft a Durant and a Westbrook. I don't see many KD's playing in the NCAA.

Did you see Damian Lillard becoming an instant star? James Harden one of the best SG in the NBA? It's hard to tell in college how someones game will translate, also look out for Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins next year... Wiggins especially is going to be a mega talent from all accounts

He is no KD. Lillard will not turn a team around without a good team around him.

I always forget Durant made his team a playoff team all by himself in his first year.

He may not be KD, but who is besides KD himself? If you don't think Lillard can turn a team around, you must have not been paying attention. He is the reason the Blazers are playing very well this year. The guy can score and distribute the basketball. He is a much better all-around point guard than most people thought he would be.

Simply put for me to take Boozer, Chicago would have to take both Gordon AND Thomas. They would have to find a way to make it work because Boozer's contract is a mess.
