Not interested. I dont want to take away and of Bismack's playing time. Let him develop.
Not to mention, I think Gordon is a good fit with us as a locker room presence and veteran leader.
Kemba and Bismack: The Future Has Arrived
A Nets fan on RGM Trade Board said day before yesterday he had heard rumblings of this deal. Like I said in that thread "an easy yes from me". I can't stand Ben Gordon and to think we could get an upgrade in a position of need without giving up anything else is just more stellar work by Cho. Also one less option for small ball which I'm more than ok with.
Take it and run.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
"Its okay to be bad; just so long as you're bad ass." - Keetch

That would be a valid concern if Humphries and Bismack played the same position, but they don't. Biz is our starting center and Humphries is a power Forward. If anything, this will cut into Mullens playing time. And i think Mullens was paying attention to this because he went out and dropped 20 and 12 last night! lol.
Ben Gordon doesn't do that. He's the most inconsistent guy on the team. The thing about solid rebounding is that its generally a constant. Humphries isn't going to suddenly not be big one day. Gordon goes cold all the time, turns the ball over at the worst times, holds the ball too much... he's pretty much the image of a playstyle the team can't "learn" with. Eventually we'll get bigs that are worth something. Right now, they're all worthless while our guards and wings need to be able to play with a guy in the middle that knows what he's doing so that they can actually learn how to play with one.
Rebounding and size in the middle never changes. Teams will defend Gordon differently whether he's hot, cold, with the ball, running off screens, or standing around looking. An active rebounder inside - a big that is willing to play inside, catch and finish - has to be consistently treated as such.
Also, you don't suddenly shoot 70% and not need rebounding. That's nonsense. If we have bigs to pass to inside, we get easier shots because teams don't have to simply guard the perimeter to win and we're able to take advantage of more shot opportunities as well as not being pinned into having to run off of ONLY made shots from the other team. We're a fast team that likes to run - we just can't do that because our defense is absolutely terrible because even when we do get a stop we can't secure boards to get out and run. Its impossible to run purely off of made shots.

Agreed wholeheartedly. I've seen all I need to see of Gordon and all I need to see of the lack of bigs we have. Biz needs help; he has to do too much while also trying to learn. Hump can ease that burden. Also, I may have mentioned it before, but I've had my fill of Gordon. Run like the wind with this one Cho!
Humphries is a hustle guy, in which we are trying to be a hustle team. This trade works for me but Brooks has to be the throw in. Brooks isn't getting much pt now and if you think he gets some when Gordon gets there you are wrong. This takes us away from the small ball line up as he is 6'5" and we will have two line ups to put on the floor starters and bench players. It averages out our roster. Sessions won't have to play bigger sg and Hendo won't have to play sf. Everyone will only have to be concearned about one position and go out and play. Once the rotation is put together I think we will be ok.
haven't seen this written yet but i am not entirely convinced this is actual news. everyone knows that the nets are an extremely loose lipped FO. we are a notoriously tight lipped FO. the only trade i remember happening that even had a hint it was going down was the jax trade. i am thinking IF the rumors are even true, we are just talking to get the word out that gordon is available. this trade does not make a whole lot of sense for us unless the "unreported" part of the talks is that we are only entertaining the idea if brooks or other assets are involved.
Throw in Sessions and Brooks and it's a deal.
