Ask the Panther fans how thats working out. They've been to the Super Bowl, but if the Giants come down, its Meadowlands South. Season ticket holders are going to sell tickets if they can. You can't go to all of em, and if you can pay for 10 games like I did Friday night by selling, its hard not to. (although I couldn't have gone that night anyway ... win:win) Therefore even if we are good, opposing fans will still be there. The only way to squash that attitude they bring is to turn the heat up on em with a little attitude of our own. I don't think you can ever stop them coming as this is a transplant city now, and bandwagoners are gonna bandwagon. but at least we can make them think twice about chanting Lets Go Celtics in our own dang building.

Beagle - I was fired up haha... no way Charlotte fans can ever act like Philly fans. Its not in us.

Was at the game last night. Celtics fans were loud & abundant, but we protected our house. Way more Cats fans than fans of the opposition. I know it doesn't always seem that way because their green sticks out like a sore thumb, but we outnumbered them comfortably. Maybe 70/30, 65/35 TOPS? In a way, having so many visitor fans is cool, because I know that some of the people in my section that would normally sit on their hands were getting LOUD just as a response to the Boston fans near us. It made for a great atmosphere (and winning helps). My lady said it was the most fun she'd had at a 'Cats game since we moved here. See you guys at the Pistons game! Cashed in some ticket trade credit, so I'll be bringing EXTRA 'Cats fans for that one.

Whoof! Last night's game (@ SAC) was pretty damn embarassing. It sucks to be outnumbered in your home arena, but daaaamn. That was probably the worst loss in Bobcats history. That was just.....wow.
"The Charlotte Hornets name has been a mainstay throughout the region for many years, and we are excited to announce our intention to re-establish this historic brand. We believe that its return will galvanize our fan base by unifying our loyal Bobcats fans with those who have strong memories of our city's NBA predecessor." MJ, 5-21-13

Wow. I had the game DVR'd (why, I have no idea) but deleted it once I got home when I saw the score and some telling tweets about the game. Nothing can be gleaned from that kind of game, but now after your post I'm wishing I didn't delete it just out of morbid curiosity.
