I don't see Henderson being our future starter at the 2 anyway. It'll just save us the trouble of having to try and trade him after we signed him to a new deal that none of us would have liked! lol.
Exactly, they are free agent targets. Overpaying Henderson (more than $5 million per) would be another dumb move by Joe Dumars, or any other team for that matter. We need to trade Hendo if at all possible if we do not see him as an important future piece.

I personally think Henderson to the Pacers for Tyler Hansbrough would be a perfect trade for both sides. Henderson is exactlywhat the Pacers need and Hansbrough is exactly what we need (well one of the things we exactly need). I just don't know how likely it would be for us to trade both Henderson and Gordon.

I would think that Chicago would really want him. He's better than Hamilton or Hinrich at the 2. Thibideaux would really like him in that defensive scheme. And he would work well with Rose whenever he returns. Could be more ammo to really get something good in a deal with Chicago and Nets instead of just dumping salary or attitude problems.

Hansbrough isn't what the team needs, it's an actual post-up scorer who can kick in points in the high teens every night and a franchise two-guard. Hansbrough is just a better version of Adrien, and he needs to be paid this coming summer as well.

Tyler is a 4. Granger has nothing to do with his minutes. Granger is a prototype 3 and has played there his whole career. George,Stephenson, and Jones have all primarily played at the 2. And Jones is a very good on the ball defender who can actually shoot the 3. Henderson is not a fit for indy in any way, knowing what he will command. And they're definitely not gonna sign Hendo to an expensive contract when George has really come into his own lately. Not happening.

George is a small forward at the NBA level. The only problem is that Indy has Granger there. I believe that this will be Granger's last year with the team as I think they will try to move him in the offseason so they can slot George at his natural position. If I were the Pelicans, I might consider trading Eric Gordon to the Pacers for Granger and a 1st rounder. The Rockets, according to some reports, would also be very interested in Granger if he were to become available.

Yeah, I think this is Granger's last year as a Pacer also.
