So with as much failure, anger, and depression going on his season, I think any positive story that affects the community should definitely get more notice. Not all athletes are selfish, egotistical jocks, so when they actually have positive impacts on society, I think it should get just as much recognition as any tabloid story that comes out.
Apparently, Haywood is going to pay all the electric bills for homeless single mothers trying to transition back to a home life from the shelter:
