Have you watched Bennett? That guy is a monster around the rim and a beast on the glass. He also has a nice face-up game on the block where he will overpower his man and take it to the basket. His back to the basket game is pretty good as well although he could stand to use it a little more often.

    Agreed 100%.

    Nothing about this:

says "average" explosiveness to me. He's no Blake Griffin, but he's a better overall athlete than the majority of big men in the NBA

I think you're making some generalizations about Bennett's game. He doesn't hang around on the perimeter. He tough inside and he can score outside. He can score from anywhere. And he's tough as nails on the offensive glass!
As far as rebuilding goes i think if Mullens keeps playing the way he is right now through the end of the season it's gonna be really hard to justify using the #1 pick on a player at his position such as Bennett.I really do like Bennett's game though.
I see Shabazz Muhammed as a must pick player for Charlotte. He's the best chance in this rebuild for us to get an elite level scorer. And there's no guarantee that we're gonna get Wiggins or Parker next year. I also hope we can get Plumlee at 14. I think he can be a very good back up for a long time in this league. But i think once pre-draft workouts start,he's gonna rise up some people's boards. I think he's probably gone by 10.
In free agency i would do whatever it takes to get Pekovic. I think he can be a top level center in the east. If we have the money to pursue Millsap,West, Hickson,or Clark to add another big i'd be cool with that, But Pek would be my first priority. Clark and Pek would be my pics if we got 2 though.

    Walker/Sessions
    Muhammed/Henderson
    Kidd-Gilchrist/Taylor
    Mullens/Clark
Pekovic/Biyombo I think this would be a very positive start to a successful rebuild.

Possible 8th seed team there. I would also like to add Jamison to that roster to help with a veteran presence and he could serve as a backup SF/PF.

    ARRGggghhhh.... can't stop watching it!!!!

I like Mully. For the right price, I definitely want to keep him.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

McLemore is better then Shabazz. Shabazz doesn't play defense and he can't even average an assist per game. The guy also gets pissed and doesn't celebrate with his teammates because one of them hits the game winner rather then passing him the ball. We don't need a guy who is all about himself like that.

Mclemore might be a better shooter than Muhammed but he's not a better overall scorer. Muhammed can score with either hand easily,is much more aggressive, and has a killer instinct that i frankly don't see Mclemore having. I've seen Mclemore disappear in large stretches of games this year and just seem disengaged at times. Not what i want in a leader. And i get that Muhammed is an asshole but so are a lot of other big time scorers. Kobe,Jordan,Bird, and countless other great ones were notorious jerks. I not saying he's gonna be an all time great but winning games is generally what makes for good locker rooms.

I didn't put it on there but i was thinking about Jamison as well. I think after the train wreck in L.A. this year that he's probably coming home this summer.
