I'm just thinking about how miserable I was last year watching us play. Even thought we're terrible this year too, at least we have something to look forward too lol. We all know Kemba is a future all-star (I predict by next year). I'm just watching old film of us last year, and I wasn't convinced that Kemba was going to pan out like this. I'm just happy now that we have some good rookies/new additions to the roster in JT, MKG, BG, & Sessions.
I honestly hated Kemba last year because I thought we wasted our pick (he wasn't playing well). Of course I was judging him too early, but we were in dire need for a rookie to at least show something promising. & it only gets better from here. Now that we have a little young core, we can keep building on this.
What strategies/ideas did you guys use to get through that miserable season last year?
John Wall, C.J. Leslie, & Quincy Miller
I wasn't miserable while watching the Bobcats play last year. I was miserable when they didn't play (during the lockout). When they did play I tried not to focus that much on the results, but instead on the progression the players made during the season. Especially our front court: Byron Mullens, Bismack Biyombo, Derrick Brown and even D.J. White became twice the players they were before (it didn't made them that much better though).
The only negative thing (besides the normal stuff: lack of talent, lack of winning etc.) was Kemba Walker. After seeing him winning it all that spring I had great expectations which he couldn't live up to. I viewed him as the next Tony Parker, but I forgot it takes time to develop. Luckily this season Kemba seems to have forgotten that himself.
