Spec, I gotta go with what Catch22 said above. I've never heard of Gordon being some malcontent, coach bashing, anti-authority professing unprofessional. Again, I think it stems from a lack of respect for Dunlap because he has lost the team. BG played for the effing Pistons the last few years and you didn't hear of him doing this crap there... The players don't respect Dunlap because he has lost them games that we could've won. It sounds almost like Dunlap is veering towards Larry Brown territory with his micromanagement crap and BG had enough of it.

I'd be pissed too if I'm one of the more seasoned/successful vets on a young team and a first-year coach is running us to death in 3-4 hour practices and then sabotages our efforts in games.

I'm not saying he was right in doing it, I'm just saying I understand it.

And again, I don't understand why everyone wants to get rid of him for Mr. Kardashian. He's like the first player we have ever had that makes you feel like when he shoots a three, the ball is more than likely going in.

I also just remembered an incident from ( I think the Lakers gamebut, maybe it was Boston)... Ben was on the bench and Dunlap called for him to go into the game and Ben got almost to the scorers table and Dunlap called him back to the bench and Ben was really pissed.. I remember reading Dunlaps lips and he either said "My Fault" or "My bad" but, Ben wasn't having it and was still pissed and complaining as he sat back down on the bench...

Not sure if there was bad blood before that or if this started it.

Trade Ben, fire Dunlap, promote Stephen Silas, call it a season

I have heard from a few different players that they are growing sour on Dunlap not strictly because of his demanding nature or his practices but mostly because they don't think he is an x's and o's type of coach. Any time you have ever heard players say that in the NBA about their coach it never gets better. Obviously we agree he is not an x's and o's type of coach because we never run drawn up plays out of time outs and when he does draw one up it results in a turnover or a forced shot at the end of the clock

I also think Dunlap is turning into Larry Brown 2.0
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

what does humble yourself even mean?

shouldnt the players be the ones humbled for being so horrible at basketball that we're the worst team in the league again?

Sit Ben for the rest of the year beside Diop. Trading him is what he wants.

What Coach says goes. Period. I don't care if you're Jordan or Gordon.

    Gordon is garbage anyway.

I'm really quite stunned that some people are trying to excuse what Gordon has done. I mean this is petulant school boy behaviour and is 100% unacceptable.

The conversation about Dunlap's level of respect amongst the senior players is a valid one, but it does not mitigate Gordon's actions in any way.

Part of the reason we are garbage. Entitled thinking like this. Seasoned Vet crying about running 3-4 hour practices. Boo fucking Hoo. Take your 13 million unearned dollars and shut the hell up.

Ben has won the exact same amount in this league as Dunlap... not a damn thing. He needs to spend about 4 hours a day learning to dribble so he isn't the only player in the league under 6'4 who can't put the ball on the floor without turning it over.

How can you take the side of the player in this situation. Especially when said player isn't even attractive enough to entice another team to trade a guy averaging 6 pts a game?
