I am not trying to be sarcastic at all, but this is a joke right?
Not an overreaction thread or a bait thread or anything. Its just simple logic. Yes mkg has been disappointing. I dont think he is an all star caliber talent anymore. Even if he is, its not smart to keep him.
With Noel going down our odds of drafting an sg in the draft are pretty much secured. With that knowledge its surely a given that we will suck again next year. Shabazz or McLemoere wont turn this team around in 1 year. We will be a top picker in the wiggins parker randle draft. That means mkgs spot. There wont be a spot for him at sg either.
That means we should sell high on him asap while we can still potentially get a cousins/monroe type talent or a bundle of good picks to trade for an all star caliber player. Mkgs value will only decrease as his viewed potential starts to fade (if it hasnt already) and his rookie contract shortens. If i was cho i would be taking calls on him all day.

He's 19 right? Think about if you played with grown men at 19 years old on a rebuilding team....Man at 19 I was barely a teenager let alone ready to be a man, lol. That being said he's not here to be THE alpha dog, he's our future #2 or #3 guy.
I dunno why you wouldnt be taking me seriously, unless you think somehow mkg is going to become good enough to make us consider passing on wiggins parker or randle this is pretty much what is going to happen. And since all 3 of those guys are better than mkg right now at a younger age thats not very likely.
Look...go through my post history i love mkg.but there is no denying that he is not a long term fit on this roster unless you want him as a bench player in 2 yrs instead of a solid young big or draft picks now.
View him as the basketball asset he is, not with irrational emotions and hope being our rookie. Look at the future assets market. A non superstar rookie picked 2 is a quickly eroded asset. Everything adds up to it being a no brainer. Theres even a devalued asset likely on the market in Cousins to buy low on.
Its clear what we SHOULD do. I dont think we have the balls though
Maybe IF you guarantee we can draft Mclemore, then draft Wiggins, and get Monroe or Cousins to go along with Kemba, Biz, Mully and Taylor, sure that sounds pretty awesome. The problem is, this is called gambling. You can't trade players based on assets you don't have. The worst team can fall three picks - what if we get the 3rd or 4th pick this year and Bazz, Mclemore, and Bennett are gone? Then what if the next year we get screwed again like Minnesota normally did in the lottery, and get the 4th pick again? No Wiggins, Parker or Randle.
Then you're stuck with a disgruntled Cousins (don't think Detroit would give up Monroe for MKG) who probably would pile drive Dunlap during a game just because, and you lost a great locker room leader and glue guy in MKG, we're still in lottery hell with no offense or any sense of direction, and the LOLnets are still the biggest joke in the league. And MKG and his newfound jumpshot are taking over the league with the Seattle SuperKingSonics and doing commercials with Russell Wilson and Brazilian Supermodels.
Cho takes numbers very seriously, so I don't think he would risk potentially screwing the roster for that small chance that every single thing falls in place perfectly.
