Everyone was saying the same thing about Kemba last year. Bust, flop, etc.......

Give him time. He's going to be really good.

I was right with Kemba and I'll be right with MKG.

Thank God Cho is the one in charge.

I think one of the reasons people said this about MKG and Kemba is because some people are expecting an immediate Kyrie Irving, Lillard out of every rookie.

The gripes against Kemba were much more legitimate than the ones against MKG IMO. Kemba was supposed to be Lillard-esque in that he should have been very NBA ready after being the leader of his championship Huskies. Personally I held my tongue due to the lockout factors like no training camp/summer league and the gutted roster.

It's just bonkers to expect a teenager to come in and make a large impact right away.

but this is where all sports talk devolves to. i get the idea of your post, even though i would choose to not shop mkg right now.

this. mkg is a nice prospect but if we draft wiggins or parker he becomes expendable. would be stupid not to trade him for a young talent or high draft pick.

Please read all the posts explaining that trading MKG right now would be selling low, not high. If we trade him now, we might get a mediocre big. If we need to trade him down the road b/c a Wiggins or Parker is on board, we can get much more in return a la Harden for Martin/Lamb/picks if MKG improves like he should. If he doesn't, we trade him for a mediocre big. There is almost no way we can sell high on MKG right now.
