Default The 2013 NBA Trade Deadline Thread

With the trade deadline approaching this week, lets use this thread to discuss all of the trade news and rumors that are flying around.

If it is anything like years past, as the deadline gets closer things will get pretty crazy.

i am very curious as to what portland is going to do. right now they are in the 9th spot and not looking terrible good for the playoffs. do they trade to get better or maybe move LMA and/or wes matthews figuring to give up the pick this year in a weak draft for a mini-rebuild?

This has been on my mind a lot over the last week. It seems they are fading and the pick is only Top 12 protected.

We may luck out and not get the pick this year... I'd like to have 2 picks but, this isn't the draft to have 2... We may end up with 3 lottery picks next season.

The thing that I am most curious about for this upcoming deadline to see if Cho can turn Diop's expiring contract into anything worthwhile.

A bag of Doritos and an extra rack of gym balls... Anything.

Dwight Howard says he wants to go to a team that has the highest chance of winning but he didn't specify. Hes coming to the BOBCATS since we have the highest chance of winning the lottery. HAHA. In all seriousness though I have been on the DMC bandwagon for a while so if we could somehow pull him away from the kings it would be nice. The guaranteed trade that will happen will be Josh Smith but who will take him? Millsap looks like he getting out of Utah. Clippers are shopping Bledsoe for some reason. Wouldn't mind if we traded Ben Gordon for an equally bad contract. Gonna be an interesting trade deadline thats for sure

The Blazers are not trading LMA, no way, no how. They will build around him and Lillard with Batum being a complimentary player. I think they will be buyers and could be a possible destination for Gerald Henderson, IMO. They are not going to rebuild and will actually throw major money at Nikola Pekovic this offseason.

Default The 2013 NBA Trade Deadline Thread

I would love to trade sessions for one if them, little worried about PJ3 knee tho. The same people who criticised sullinger's back are the same ones who said jones's knee was dodgy.

Okay, been having a wack at the old trade machine this afternoon and got some deals that look interesting, see what people think, all the salaries work but the links are not working atm for some reason

    Trade 1

    Cha: Humphries & John Jenkins

    Brook: Josh Smith

Atl: Warrick & Diop (expiring gives them flexability) Mullens, Brooks (young potential players) + a pick from Brooklyn

    Trade 2

    Cha: Humphries

    Brook: Smith

    Atl: Granger

Indi: Gordon (much needed scoring & lets George play 3) Ivan johnson (they lack pf depth and fits Indi defensive scheme) + Brooklyn 1st round pick

Come on then, who is ready to rip into my ideas... Be gentle. I am also aware that the 2nd trade has too many moving parts and almost too many stars in it too happen... But does seem to make everyone happy on paper

Im hoping CHA can be a facilitator in a big trade, gaining something without losing anything.

Trade 1 I think we're giving up too much for just John Jenkins. Trade 2 is okay but I don't think Indiana gets enough value back unless they view it as addition by subtraction. It's tough to work trade scenarios with ATL b/c they have a plethora of cheap 1yr contracts that aren't really that attractive.
