Default The 2013 NBA Trade Deadline Thread

I would love to trade sessions for one if them, little worried about PJ3 knee tho. The same people who criticised sullinger's back are the same ones who said jones's knee was dodgy.

Okay, been having a wack at the old trade machine this afternoon and got some deals that look interesting, see what people think, all the salaries work but the links are not working atm for some reason

    Trade 1

    Cha: Humphries & John Jenkins

    Brook: Josh Smith

Atl: Warrick & Diop (expiring gives them flexability) Mullens, Brooks (young potential players) + a pick from Brooklyn

    Trade 2

    Cha: Humphries

    Brook: Smith

    Atl: Granger

Indi: Gordon (much needed scoring & lets George play 3) Ivan johnson (they lack pf depth and fits Indi defensive scheme) + Brooklyn 1st round pick

Come on then, who is ready to rip into my ideas... Be gentle. I am also aware that the 2nd trade has too many moving parts and almost too many stars in it too happen... But does seem to make everyone happy on paper

Im hoping CHA can be a facilitator in a big trade, gaining something without losing anything.

@Chris_Broussard: Other players who are on trade market, sources say: Brooklyn's Humphries, Philly's E Turner, Charlotte's Ben Gordon & Gerald Henderson.....

Not heads Henderson's name before, in fact been told by Steve kyler earlier in the year he wasn't being mentioned, but that was months ago. I am happy we're looking at moving Henderson, I was worried MJ might have a problem trading him

Trade 1 I think we're giving up too much for just John Jenkins. Trade 2 is okay but I don't think Indiana gets enough value back unless they view it as addition by subtraction. It's tough to work trade scenarios with ATL b/c they have a plethora of cheap 1yr contracts that aren't really that attractive.

From Woj's lastest trade deadline article:

The Charlotte Bobcats are offering guard Gerald Henderson to teams for a first-round pick.

So there we go. Think anyone takes it?

Good to hear. I like Hendo, but as I've posted in the past, I just think his potential was really limited and I think he was better suited as a role player on a contending team, so I was hoping we would move him for max value.

I don't see anyone giving a first, although it's possible. I would like to see if we could get a young player on a rookie contract (like Jeremy Lamb from OKC) with him though.

Apparantly Houston are shopping Terrance Jones. I was a Jones fan before the draft and part of me wanted to take him in 2011 when we had the 9th pick and he withdrew his name. He would certainly help our big situation out though and I reckon we could get him for relatively cheap

They can take our players, but they'll never take our FREEDO...
    Oh wait.
In all honesty, trade anyone and everyone (that isn't MKG, Kemba, Mullens) for assets+draft picks, especially Sessions and Gordon. Sessions cos his value is high as hell, and Gordon cos he's cancer in that locker room.
