I do wish we could have turned Gana and Reggie into a decent rental like morrow or Dalembert or someone idk.

Wow what a terrible deadline day.

    >Atlanta losing Josh Smith for nothing next summer
    >Utah keep both Millsap and Jefferson

at least there will be free agents to make moves for.

I think its an awesome trade deadline. No one got significantly better, Atlanta loses an asset for nothing and we saved 4 million dollars.

I mean, it's not a negative. McRoberts doesn't bring too much to the table, but he's only a two-month rental so it's whatever. I'm disappointed the team couldn't snag a late first round pick from somewhere, because I'm pretty convinced that Portland is going to fade at the end of the season.

It's a long-shot but Portland's fade could be great for the Bobcats. It would be awesome if they could just miss the playoffs until the protections on the pick expire. If you look, Aldridge's contract is up before that season so they could be bottoming out - unlikely given the owner's deep pockets but you never know.

I didn't know where to put this, so:

I have a question: over the past couple of days there are some playoff teams that have signed free-agents. are they eligible to play in the playoffs? Because the Spurs have recently waived Jackson and I understood they did it then so that he could not play for another team in the post-season. can someone clarify this for me?

Default The 2013 NBA Trade Deadline Thread

The Spurs just signed Tracy McGrady today, and he is eligible for the playoffs. It seems if you weren't on a roster on March 1, you can play. So Jax is out of luck.

The Spurs just made sure they are losing in the first round now, as TMac has never advanced to the second round.
