    Default Board Games

Recently come to my attention, are board games.
Somehow within my group of friends it has suddenly become way more popular.
As such, long hours have been spent with lots of ego and banter around a table, out-thinking, out-strategising, out-lucking our opponents.

    Games we've played so far:
    4 man D&D (can't remember which one)
Game of Thrones Board Game (extremely popular among us)
    Catan
    Risk

    Hopefully upcoming:
Battlestar Galactica Board Game (totally hyped for this one)

Anyone share our love of board games?

    Does chess count?

Don't play board games anymore, but when I did I played through just about all of the classics. Chess, checkers, battleship, scattergories, backgammon, monopoly, pictionary, mancala, parcheesi, Life, Othello, Clue, plus thousands of puzzles

Growing up, my cousin and I spent a crazy amount of hours playing Risk.

That is my favorite board game of all time.

Used to play tons of chess. Not as much recently. Been playing some kid games with my daughter: Sorry, Candyland, Chutes and Ladders.

DNB I feel your pain. Candyland sucks... I'm glad my 2 are well past that Candyland age.

Risk is amazing, also if anyone has ever played "where's Moldova?" That is also a great board/quiz game

Yeah, it's terrible. Chutes and Ladders is a bit better, but I don't remember it being such a morality tale. All of the chutes and ladders have kids' actions being what caused the climb or fall.
