Default Bobcats TV Viewership- This is bad

Damn this is dreadful... I'm honestly worried about the future of this team in Charlotte.

    Dead Last In Merchandise
    Dead Last in TV Viewership
23rd in attendance (but, we give away free tickets so inflate those #'s)

Dead last in TV Viewership again this season (next to last has twice as many viewers/game as us)..

We were dead last- last season as well but, we have lost 22% of the viewers that were watching 2 years ago before we blew it up. I can't believe that only 7,200 households watch the games.

Do we still have issues with availability? I have Directv and every game is on channel 650 & 650-1 HD.

We better start winning & supporting this team very f'ing soon or another city is going to steal this team too....

Might as well change the Name back to the Hornets WITH the teal and purple. will at least drive the merchandise sales way up, who knows maybe will increase viewers as well. Personally I was at home instead of in Alabama for college, Id be watching most of the games on TV. Maybe they should get a larger deal with sportsSouth and show games throughout the southeast on nights when the hawks aren't playing, its not like they have to compete with the thrashers anymore?

I haven't been able to watch Bobcats games on TV since the days of Jahidi White. For me, availability is definitely a problem.

Same here. I live about an hour from Bobcats Arena but haven't been able to watch a game on TV in years. I am with Charter and apparently they are never going to carry the games. I am sure the same goes for a lot of other people.

I cannot get them on Charter Comm. cable either. Live about 1.5 hours from Charlotte. Dont think it is blackout issue. Think the problem is an agreement between Cats and Charter cable has not been reached. I can get only on the Internet - sometimes.

Have no issues with Directv as Jgib said its on 650 and 650-1 every game. Also TWC in Belmont is fine channel 60.

Damn- I thought most of the availability issues were solved when TWC let us out of the dumbass CSET contract as part of the naming rights deal.

This just sucks that fans of the team that live so close can't watch the eff'ing games 10 years into the franchise.

This no doubt contributes to name animosity as well... people remember watching the Hornets on local TV and most likely have never gotten into the Bobcats because they can't ever watch them. Changing the name won't help the TV issue it doesn't look like.

I guess, I'm naive on this issue because I could have sworn the TV situation was largely resolved... feel bad for the folks that can't watch.

At home I have direct tv and can get every single game, but i guess im in the minority. What stops them for having a larger contract?
Also, welcome to BCP David Stern! Never thought I'd be welcoming David Stern to anything..

I feel bad for you guys with Charter I had to suffer through them back in like 2008-2010 felt like their DVR box was straight outta 1995 and they refuse to pick up Bobcats or even NBA league pass or NFL sunday ticket. they are just so cheap.

I have directv now and love it except the sports south picture quality is kinda buggy sometimes. Makes the games painful to watch. That and being down 20 points at half.
