Businesses do shit bc they can...you do what you can get away with.
But these people complaining can't get it on League Pass...it's blacked out.

I seriously doubt anyone can argue that changing the name to Hornets would have added an ounce of excitement to the win over Boston or the loss to the Pistons tonight. Tonight, and the T'wolves game a few weeks back, there were people going batshit and loving the hell out of it - noone gave a crap about the name of the team.

If folks are going to the games or DVRing them with every bit of disk space they have - they are already fans. If folks aren't getting the games because some poor broadcast decisions by a carrier - they are boned regardless of the name of the front of the jerseys. People need to really get past this notion that the NAME is an elixir for everything they think is amiss with the Bobcats'.

Really don't want to argue this point because the team is doing their due diligence and I will support their decision... I agree the name change isn't the magic wand that will fix everything that's wrong.

But, re: the Celtics win, it would have added considerable excitement had the stands been filled with fans of the home team and had I not heard numerous Celtics chants and cheers and had Jason Terry not been trying to get the "home crowd" to make noise while Kemba was shooting the game clinching free throws.

I guess you and I have different expectations for the home crowd.

The crowd was largely dead tonight and beyond MKG's dunk and the Harlem shake skit (which was incredible) the atmosphere wasn't good. Most of the upper deck was empty and beyond the section of students I didn't hear a peep from up there.
