I quite happy about today. I'm glad we didn't do anything dumb and kept all of our options going into the off season. If Dunlap lights a fire under McRoberts maybe he becomes a cheap 2nd or 3rd string option for peanuts next year. If not, he's still fun as hell to watch in garbage time.

Even if we get nothing in terms of wins by acquiring him, i've got a feeling were going to see some nasty alley oops when we're down by 20 in the 4th quarter for the rest of the season. At least it'll make the wait for the draft more interesting.

I'm pretty happy with bringing McBob on board, especially considering what was given up (and what wasn't....cap flexibility). He's always been very athletic and has range. I imagine he'll get his shot to back up Mullens once he's up to speed. Just a good move overall to be able to take a 20-ish game flyer on someone who could prove to be a contributor and that you possibly could retain on the cheap this summer. Looking forward to seeing what he does here.

    Default Bobcats Acquire Josh McRoberts

McBob is a Boris Diaw in shape, maybe not as talented but hopefully more productive.

Very marginally. Mullen's postgame is almost all jumpers and the occasional hook/runner. McRoberts will actually pumpfake and dropstep a bit but if you're expecting McHale or even Diaw type ability you're gonna be pretty disappointed.

Like I said, the most positive thing he's bringing the team is better size than the anemic Warrick and solid passing. Our ball movement should get a lot better and he'll space the floor almost as well as Mullens. He is a Dookie afterall, so his fundamentals are pretty solid. Hopefully, he'll have a resurgence not unlike another ex-Laker on our roster.

I don't know why we're discussing his talents. The only thing he needs to be good at is handing the guys towels when they come to timeouts. His seat is going to be right next to Diop. This move was to free up 4 million dollars for this summer!!!! That's it!! Now we have all this money with a weak draft coming up and no real max level contract players availible this summer!!! Oh well Cho always has a plan. He know something or has someone in mind this off season! Thats when all the fun is going to happen to see who we peice together this summer. Only thing I want to see for sure is we resign Mullins and let Henderson walk!

As has been discussed in this thread, no it doesn't. Warrick's contract is a team option next year. This deal saves us a little bit of money this season. McRoberts offers a different skill set, and will at least get a chance to see the floor and earn minutes.

I hate to shine on your rain parade but Warrick is a TO next year so they could've just kept him and saved about the same amount of money.

Good deal. I liked Warrick but it's a whatever move. Saves money.

I hope McBob actually gets to play tho...I mean, why not?

    The Magic already waived Warrick.

I thought we were the ones saving money in this deal? Why did they do it if they were just going to release the player anyway? Couldnt they have released McBob in the first place?

    This makes no sense.

EDIT: I see that this has already been discussed. Nevermind
