all i wanted dunlap to do was to show some consistency with his line-ups and mins .that 11 man rotation he was doing wasnt working and it takes players out their comfort zone w half ass minutes. but as of late dunlap has pretty much stayed with an 8 man rotation giving quality mins to his key players , and we've been an real competitive team except the houston and indy gm's but stuff happens. dunlap is still pressing but we dont zone nearly as much and we are playing alot more man to man
.
dunlaps consistent rotation leads me to this .... as for the month of feb gerald has played 9 games and avg over 30 min in 8 of them(imma count the cavs game ,he had 29 min) . here are his percentages and ranking for those games.
past 8 games
42% percent - top 15 among guards
5.6 reb- 1st among guards
2.7 assist -11 among guards
4.7 free throw attempts-6th among guards
1.0 stls- 14 among guards
15.5 ppg- 11 among guards
3% -40+ among guards
15 ppg is great considering that he has 2 score first mentality pg's, gordon who can take about 10 shots in 20 mins and pf who avg about 18 attempts a game. hendo compliments kemba great because hendo is a go with the flow type player who rarely break stride and finds his shots within the offensive.
hypothetically if we did have a pass first pg like vasquez or something , hendo would definitely avg around 18-20 pts easily . hendo scores in about 6 different ways so his game isnt predictable .
every one wants to pair kemba with an score first sg when history proves over and over that 2 primary ball-handlers or 2 score 1st mentality players doesnt work well. it usually ends in a conflict with each other game.usually when its does work ,somebody has to change their game around or the other person has to be overly efficient , ex:
deron and joe -both having career lows
iverson and melo- looked like an side show
melo and stoudamire- 2 yrs of hell , end result stoudamire is a 6th man
kobe and the world - nash is fighting not to become an spot-up shooter, howard isnt as skilled of an offensive player so its hard to work in half-court offense like it was with bynum(overly efficient player)
rudy gay and randolph - both are primary scorers , somebody had to go. end result grizzlies currently are in a 5 gm winning streak.
wade ,lebron, and bosh. lebron is so god like he took the cavs to the finals ,nuff said.
westbrook and durant- durant is so overly efficient he makes up for westbrooks errors.
rose, deng, and boozer . deng finds his shots within the offense but rose and boozer game conflicts with each other and usually pg and big men usually work but rose is an scoring guard who needs lanes to operate and boozer is an post player.
its like every one wants to be ohhh and ahhh'd but that doesnt work in the nba ,but chemistry do, and i think dunlap may have found a core unit and i can see us winning 16-20 games in the second half.
i stated in the beginning of the season that sessions was a great pick-up while others felt he was an wasted journey man( ppl need to watch more basketball) , but he may be dunlaps favorite player and he's only 26 so he has room for improvement.
i was down on kemba because i didnt like his erratic style but he currently picks and chooses when to dominate and paces himself. i think kemba may have hit an sophmore slump because his numbers are going down each month but i feel its nothing to be worried about.
i feel we should either play mkg at pf more , or give him 20 min a game and develop him along or maybe even trade him because if you watch our games he doesnt fit well with others and he has a hitch meaning its not going anywhere. mkg may never be what everyone thinks he is but an athlete who hustles which doesnt qualify as an 2nd pick .
biz is playing great as of late but he needs to be in a ben wallace mind state and attempt maybe at least 3 shots a game. we have about 4 legit scorers and if it isnt a dunk he shouldnt even think about.
mullens game havent changed much except instead of shooting 22 attempts , he's paced himself around 16-17. he still jacking but more efficient ,and he is attacking the basket more .
i was so high on tyrus and this hurts my heart but tyrus is a bum. he's nowhere as close as athletic as when he was a bull or when he first arrived . ive been an strong suppporter but tyrus isnt tyrus.it was one thing to be bone-headed and athletic ,and its another to be bone-headed and not athletic . tyrus doesnt run the floor , dont know when the last time he caught an alley or even dunked on someone. ive seen tyrus get his dunk blocked by glen davis and i turned the tv off. i think the bulls swapped tyrus legs w grant hills before the trade.
in the nba all it takes is one player to change a franchise ,and i think we are an great pf or center away from being a playoff team .
free agent wish list
j-smoove at pf ,mullens at center
jefferson at c ,mullens at pf
millsap at pf , mullens at center
humphries at pf , mullen at center... humphries is a real good pf who may have rubbed someone on the nets the wrong way. jay-z owns nets- jay-z friends w kanye- kanye smashing kim k- hump and kim having an public divorce ,just saying.
maybe we could trade for taj gibson, cousins for mkg and some picks, maybe deandre for mkg.
