I would love to be able to throw a bunch of counter-examples at you but I can't off the top of my head. I do think that Kemba's score-first game is going to ultimately be a problem going forward, because if you're going to be that kind of player at his height then that player better be transcendent a la Iverson in his prime or Isiah early in his career. I just think that picking as high as they are for the next couple of years, the Bobcats are going to have the option of adding some pretty great perimeter scorers that will need to be the first offensive option. Like you, I feel that pairing a player like that with Kemba will be problematic.
I think Kemba's real destiny in the NBA is to be a sixth man on a great team. He would be phenomenal as a change of pace PG that dominates the second unit. Unfortunately, with the rigid salary-cap, those kind of roles are going to become rarer and rarer as teams will be unable to afford to put big money in a player that doesn't start no matter how effective that strategy. We see what just happened with Harden and OKC (obviously Harden is a franchise player who would command a max contract, and I don't see that for Kemba, but Kemba is playing himself into a very nice second contract).
