um.... u missed that i stated he's 6th at free throw attempts (self-explanatory) .he's a guard, so what other way should he score if there not screens,pull-up mid range, and post ups? also shooting off screens is an lost art that few can do and basketball 101 is that your always supposed to post up the smaller defender . an skilled offensive post player is the hardest skill in the nba ,thats why alot of players learn it in their later stages in their career and takes years to develop.

hendo doesnt fit with kemba and mkg? i think its the other way around, mkg cant fit with hendo and kemba.
you contradicted your statement twice . you felt that hendo didnt fit in the trio but then mentioned two players who wasn't your preferable playing style(stretch 2-guard). first off ben mclemore is almost an gerald henderson clone without the post moves. 2nd smart is a 6'4 mkg ,who has put up some horrid shooting games. 3rd taylor is a spot-up shooter ,cant beat his man off the dribble,no mid range, cant create for others,6'7 with 40 inch but he doesnt rebound.
so what that comment you made, leaves me to believe that alot of the forum posters just want to draft because its exciting and cool. it really has nothing to do with hendo or the bobcats .hendo is the longest tenured bobcat so he's old news despite the fact that he's maybe the only player on our team or even the few guards who actually is upgrading his game every year in different areas.
if you was really concerned you would stated an big who may of not let greg monroe score like 8 points in a row in the post in the last 3 min of a 4th qt gm or leroy allen(76ers) have an career nite.

Henderson will make a good bench player for another team
then again I thought the same thing about DJ
I fear that this is going to be a constant discussion over the next few years as far as shooting guard goes, whether it's Henderson or a drafted replacement. The example to keep in mind is Chicago - a score first, ball-dominant PG, a do-everything excellent defender small forward, and a series of question marks at the 2.
We've seen them try everything from defensive specialists like Ronnie Brewer to 3 point specialists like Kyle Korver to mid-range slashers like Rip Hamilton. While the team is successful, that position never gives them the production needed to win tight games in the playoffs against top teams.
And I think that's going to be the case almost anywhere you have such a ball-dominant PG. The shining example of having two big scorers on the perimeter with one at PG is obviously OKC, but they have yet to win a championship and those are two otherworldly talents. Sometimes the talent is so great that even if the fit isn't perfect, the talent overwhelms such as with Wade and Lebron. Unfortunately, it's hard to project Kemba developing into that kind of superstar player even though I really like him and enjoy watching him.
It's tricky: Walker, along with MKG is a big part of changing the culture here. While he takes a lot of shots for his position, I never sense that he is a selfish player and feel that he genuinely prioritizes winning above personal stats. He seems like a great teammate, same with MKG. He has drive and dedication and work ethic that can't be overvalued for a young rebuilding team trying to institutionalize those values in the way San Antionio has managed to. However, his game is going to be a tough fit as they build out this roster with top-5 draft picks.
Not this again.
GM, as much as I love Hendo...you overrate him way too much.
Hell I had always hoped for him to be that 20 ppg scorer we needed, but I feel he'll never reach it.
I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, but at this point he'll never get there.

ah, man you really got me. i went looking for those quotes, but all i found was this:
http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/vb/show...own-w-in-depthdj is a top 15 point guard in the lg. dj is a very good game manager and he is amongst the league top assist to turnover ratio's. he plays within the game pace and he doesnt force anything , although he is a capable scorer and a efficient long-range shooter he can take over .
dj's projected stats 31 min,14.5pts,7.2 ast, 3.0 reb,0.8 stl
http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/vb/show...nd-the-bobcatsso far all my predictions are looking true. hendo looks like a top 20 player, sessions is our best choice at pg , tyrus looks to be old tyrus, and taylor won't avg any minutes.
http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/vb/show...t-bynum-trade-.im a little late but , why couldn't we had made that bynum trade .
the whole world has the 76ers pegged to make deep playoff run and even in the near future a title run , but noooo we bobcat fans didn't get the memo that an all-star maybe an even a superstar center can automatically make any team a playoff contender. even though we didn't get him it showed where alot of ppl basketball IQ was at as far as logical moves or chances that should of been taking. the 76ers traded iggy and he's worth more than some of our young players(if packaged). so if the whole world can see the logic in obtaining bynum ,why couldn't have we . and that brings up the bigger question , do half of ya really know what ya talking about
pre-season is over and feel my team assessment was mostly correct(tyrus paragraph). i stated that hendo is our best player, and will display an all-around good game, sessions is better suited than kemba, tyrus was back, mkg is not as good as ya think, and taylor will not be a factor.hendo will be a max guy because he does everything you need your starting guard can do; play defense, rebound, facilitate, and score more than one ways.http://www.bobcatsplanet.com/vb/show...bobcats-part-2sessions out played walker like i knew he would
oh wait, that last quote was mine, from a thread I started called Sessions Aprreciation Thread.Thought this would be warranted since Kemba, MKG, and Dunlap will grab the majority of the love. Sessions has been excellent for the team. I don't like to rag on players, but Sessions has basically been everything Augustin was not. He's been consistent, doesn't complain about coming off the bench (although you can sense he'd like to be a starter), and been a great influence on Kemba. He's provided a spark and, as Bonnell has pointed out, a calming presence at the same time. He drained that 3 pointer last night and came up big with a bunch of free throws. I really liked what he said last night, that icing the Buck's game was a chance to redeem himself for what happened with Minnesota. Love that mentality.
Maybe the best free agent this team has ever brought in.
