    Well he's wrong.

First of all thats not a free ticket. If anything its a half priced ticket. You had to have paid attendance to that game to get one. And honestly like 30 people actually wait in line for it.

But really its just a stupid thing people have been saying for years as some sort of slight knock on the Bobcats franchise. Every team has promotions like that occasionally. And its part of the constant unnecessary negativity around Charlotte. There is plenty of negativity with the last two seasons in the win/loss column to go out manufacturing more.

Its right up there with "Michael Jordan doesn't want to spend money" in terms of ignorant statements some CLT fans make.

Back on topic, great story, franchise is really paying attention to its fans.

I literally have nothing, but great things to say about the Bobcats' ticket office. I'm a first-time 'Cats season ticket holder this year after having season tickets for many other teams in other cities I've lived over the years. This is by far the best I've been treated, the best customer service I've enjoyed, and the closest I've ever felt to being "part of the family" in all my years of owning season tickets for sports teams. The Bobcats do a great job and deserve a lot of credit.

Thanks to the OP for sharing that wonderful story.

I echo these statements. After I bought tickets for a game last December, I got a call the day before the game from someone at the ticket office asking if I had any questions or concerns. He was honest, polite, and answered all my questions. I was completely shocked they called me, but I think it shows, along with the other stories that have been shared, that the team is making a strong attempt to connect with the fan base.

I was not trying to bash the Bobcats' ticket office, because I know they do everything they can to fill the stadium, but it's hard not to notice the absence of fans while they were selling season tickets for $86,-.

I would put that more on the financial state of things. Everyone only has so much disposable income, so its tough to commit that money to a struggling basketball team. When the product is worth the admission more will show, until then the team should just do its best to make its current ticket holders feel part of the team.

That was also a highly limited promotion that quickly sold out (twice) and was limited to the high rows of the upper corners. It's not like the entire arena could be had for that price. 100% of the tickets that were available at that price point were sold, and, by glancing at that section during games, it looks like a lot of those fans have been showing up.
