I dont see it. Kobe was much quicker than Barners and projected as a SG.
Not to mention Barnes handle being average at best. Below - average speed and handle, which to me puts Wiggins on a whole other level.
No biggie, will just have to agree to disagree on this.
The only comparison between the two is that both are smooth on offense. Kobe was a SG and much quicker with a better handle.
Barnes never had the quickness or handle to play the SG position.
As of now, im anointing Wiggins and Parker as the next sure fire stars. Could be wrong, but I doubt it.
And I highly doubt you're wrong and I agree with you but only time will tell. But they both seem to have a superior understanding of the game for their ages which is incredible. They just know what to do and how to impact the game in every way and it really makes them look as if they've already played a few seasons at the college level. Thats what is the me the "it" factor about them. True students of the game. Very skilled and mature players.
Parker is right now more skilled than Wiggins and its not even really close. Think Melo. As of now Wiggins dominates on his quickness and athleticism. This isnt saying Wiggins isnt skilled as he has a pretty nice handle and a respectable jumper. Just doesnt have the all around offensive game as Parker.
If Wiggins was as polished offensively as Parker to go along with all that athleticism than yes he would be on a completely different tier.
But he is not.
Btw Parkers handle is significantly better than Barne's was and is quicker off the bounce.

Barnes wasn't even considered the #1 player in his recruiting class (Josh Selby was), let alone considered a can't miss once in a generation prospect. Rivals.com described him as a "well rounded wing with an ever improving game," not "the next Kobe!" Scout.com had him even farther back, as the #3 player behind Irving & Will Barton, saying "Erupted the summer entering his junior season. Excellent student with an advanced game. Loves to pull from mid-range, has a tremendous IQ and is athletic. Can play the shooting guard and small forward roles. Great confidence in his abilities." They also noted that he needed to work on his ability to create. That's some fine praise worthy of a consensus Top 3 recruit, but hardly the effusive gushing we hear about Wiggins.
