That's OK... but he should be pounding people on the boards at the college level.

i would like to come away from the draft with noel. i still think he will go top 3. if he goes 1 or 2 and we have #3, i would move down to take oladipo at 4-6. if we could pick up a late or future first or give up a bad contract (tyrus) in the process i would be all for it.

Mclemore has all the tools to be star material and i feel is our best chance to draft a go to player.

Who's going to trade a top-five pick for the fifteenth pick in next years' draft and spare parts?

When I first saw that, I thought the same thing. Then when I looked harder, he is actually not a bad rebounder. Those 8 boards come in 27 mins per game. His per36 stats are 22.6 pts, 11.2 reb, 1.7 blks.

Default The Great Debate: Trading down

Would you trade the number 1 pick for Phoenix's 5th and 13th pick? If Bazz was going to be available at 5 I sure would

i could see the team doing a sort of swap of picks. let's say we win the lottery, suns get second, orlando gets third. bobcats trade the 1st pick to orlando, who, in this scenario, really want marcus smart, as does pheonix. in return we get the third pick (guaranteed one of mclemore, bazz, noel, or oladipo still) and say a young player - moe harkless or tobias harris. that'd be cool if we could luck into something like that, if a team falls in love with a certain prospect.

We need as close as you can come to a sure thing. Unless we got some really nice pieces, I can't imagine trading down. I think you have to get the best player you can.

The only way i would trade down is if Bennett is our guy. I actually happen to think he's the best fit for our team out of this years draft. He has all-star potential, and i think if we could get Pekovic if Free agency, our frontcourt would be flat out nasty. I would prefer to draft Muhammed and trade the Portland pick along with the Detroit pick or Sessions to try and move back up and come away with Bennett as well. But if i had to pick just one, i'd go with Bennett.

I've been watching a lot of interviews with Muhammed lately and i just think he has headache written all over him. He seems much more like a OJ Mayo/J.R. Smith type to me than a Kobe/ Jordan type at this point. And i don't personally care for Noel, Mclemore,or Zellar. Mclemore has basically disappeared on his own team in college for the last month. Given how much work it's already going to take bring MKG out of his shell i don't think you can spend the first pick in the draft on someone who's that passive. Zellar projects as a 4 in the pros, has no reach, and i wouldn't want him over Mullens or Bennett. No thanks. And Noel has an ACL injury, has no offensive game,is atrocious at the line, and really just blocks shots. You can't spend the #1 pick on an inch and a half taller version of Biz!

Honestly, i would be perfectly happy with Bennett and Goodwin from this draft. Then we could go after Pekovic on a long term deal, and a veteran 2(morrow maybe) on a short term one. Then we could just wait until next year and see how Goodwin develops,go after Iguodala, or possibly be in a position for Parker. I just don't wanna grasp at straws for a 2 guard when Bennett seems like a perfect building block that we could desperately use.
